It is not customary to apply the “cold plate” rule for those who are going on an excursion for the whole day. Lack of fitness instructors in the pool and gym, no exercise equipment.

No German-speaking staff, appointments are not kept or canceled, you wait and wait. Reception staff sits there bored with their cell phones. You would just get hit. It was the worst spa vacation I've ever had. I had asked sanatoriums for help and nothing happened. So my conclusion, I can't recommend it

Cold and small pool! I caught a cold 😞 Not polite staff in the treatment room on the 3rd floor unfortunately ☹️ The bathroom in the apartment was not in order and we couldn’t take it there, nothing was repaired during our stay there! No one warned when booking that there were no procedures on weekends!

The hotel does not have all the treatments that are listed here on the sanatorium page. We booked the hotel because of the treatments and were unfortunately really disappointed. Unfortunately, the desired treatments (laser therapy, etc.) were necessary for health reasons, and the sanatorium did nothing to resolve the issue. The only answer you get from the sanatorium is that the hotel also has all the treatments listed. After an on-site conversation with the hotel manager, many treatments have no longer been available since Corona, which the sanatorium also knows!! Unfortunately the treatment didn't help us!!

Cold pool, constant breakdowns of the jacuzzi, the toilet downstairs. During our 5-day stay, the toilet on the ground floor did not work for 3 days, I think this is not normal, breakdowns need to be fixed as quickly as possible, people pay money for comfort and it must correspond to this.

We were pleased with our stay at the Colonada Hotel. Excellent location of the hotel, friendly, polite staff. I especially want to mention the doctor who saw us on the day of arrival (unfortunately I don’t know her name), she was very attentive and competent. We rested at the hotel from 10/15/23 to 10/21/23, 2 adults and a child. We had 2 rooms (double overlooking the colonnade and single overlooking the courtyard) on the 4th floor. The rooms correspond to the description on the website when booking. Free slippers and bathrobes are provided, which are changed as needed, you just need to leave them on the floor (like towels) and then they will give you fresh ones. The bed linen was also changed once. The bathroom in the double room had a bath, in the single room there was a shower. Every day the set of cosmetics was replenished. I read negative reviews about the cleaning, about the poor condition of the bathrooms and showers - everything was in excellent condition. Upon arrival, the rooms had in addition to a minibar (for a fee), bottles of mineral water (free), the double room also had a coffee machine and capsules for it also reported. Breakfast and dinner were decent, although those who vacationed last year say it got worse (no ice cream, for example). But for breakfast every day they serve 6 types of sausages, 2-3 types of cheese, 2 yogurts, cottage cheese, fresh and stewed vegetables, fruits (apples, pears, oranges, grapefruits), baked goods (croissants, cheesecakes with cottage cheese and jam, buns), tea, coffee, juices, boiled eggs and sausages, 2 types of milk porridge, and alternately: omelet, fried eggs, pancakes, pancakes, dumplings with cottage cheese, cutlets, fried sausages, stewed chicken, baked chicken wings...Dinner was optional from the menu there are 4 dishes to choose from (fish, beef, chicken, turkey, lamb, pork, rabbit) and 4 side dishes (mashed potatoes, boiled potatoes, baked potatoes, buckwheat, rice, bulgur, dumplings). Not a single dish was repeated during the week; the fish included carp, cod, trout, maha-maha, and salmon. Since the hotel specializes in the treatment of the gastrointestinal tract and metabolism, all dishes are baked or stewed, but very tasty and varied. In addition to the main course for dinner, the buffet always has fresh vegetables (cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, grated carrots), boiled beets, corn, red beans, green beans with mushrooms, olives, feta cheese, yogurt salad dressing, vegetable oil, ready-made salads . In addition, there is always chicken brawn (sulze), carbonate, 4 types of cheeses (mozzarella, blue cheese, soft cheese...) salted herring, smoked fish, kefir, fruits, pastries, berries in their own juice, coffee, tea, juice. No one really leaves hungry. I wrote everything down in detail because I read a lot of negative reviews and was worried about how everything would turn out. Now about the treatment: all procedures were carried out on time, with the exception of gas injections, there was a waiting list, but we did not find more than 2-3 people. I have observed a situation where people create a queue themselves, come at 6:45 and wait for an hour until a specialist arrives. I would also like to say a few words about the pool and sauna. The sauna, of course, is very small for such a hotel, but there was always time and place for everyone who wanted to take a steam bath, as well as in the pool and jacuzzi. There are always plenty of clean sheets.Negatives
We didn’t have any negativity as such, but rather wishes: to move dinner to a later time from 18:00 to 20:00, and extend the time in the pool until 21:00. And also monitor the temperature of the water in the pool, the water has been cold the last few days. And a few more words about the schedule of procedures: do not make a large spread of time for members of the same family. It's very inconvenient to wait for each other for half a day. For example, my procedures ended at 9:30, but for my child they will begin at 13:30. Or the child and I ran out by 10, and grandma’s last at 13:00. They refused to reschedule these procedures; as a result, we were unable to go on an excursion to Prague on Thursday.

I would like to thank all the hotel staff for their attention, responsiveness and professionalism! There is a remark regarding the organization of the restaurant's opening hours... It is advisable to shift the dinner reception hours... at least until 20 o'clock. And diversify the menu a little... But, in general, the food is not bad, tasty.

I was very pleased with the quality of service of all the staff of the Colonnade Hotel without exception and am very grateful to them for their professionalism, patience, and willingness to solve any problem immediately. It’s not for nothing that I traveled a long way from San Francisco to Karlovy Vary and I highly recommend that everyone choose only this hotel, which, in my opinion, is long overdue to change its 4 stars to 5.

The first room we got was very small and full of cigarette smoke. After asking to change rooms (with dissatisfaction from the staff) the room was changed. The size of the room has remained the same. The bed wasn't for 2 people either (although in the booking section you could see that 2 older people with different names were moving in). Water in swimming pool was also cold. I have been to other hotels in Karlovy Vary several times, so I booked a 2-week spa stay there for my mother-in-law and her friend. I wouldn't book this hotel again.

We had a bathtub in our room, unfortunately it was terrible, and the shower was not very good. The mineral baths were also not very good, the bubbles were not everywhere, the canvas was already very old.

The rooms are very dirty and are only cleaned after requesting or complaining to management. The duration of treatments has reduced dramatically, from 25 minutes two years ago to 10 minutes. Which sometimes makes the treatment pointless.
