It’s very bad that there is no description of this package anywhere or the opportunity to take a smaller package and buy it there necessary procedures, At the doctor’s appointment you don’t know what is prescribed, but you can’t change it - they say you have the same package. In the mirror pool there are always some white flakes, they are also on the floor of the pool. In the SPA area, the tiles around the pool are very dirty, and in the pool itself the walls are covered with greenery. I asked the employee why it was so dirty, they said that there would be cleaning. This is not the first time we have been treated and rested in Piestany. We have already lived in all the hotels on Kupelny Island, except for the Esplanade Palace and Pro Patria. As usual, a wonderful, rich and effective treatment. Nowhere else have we seen such a ratio of price, quality and number of procedures. You feel more like you are in a hospital than in a sanatorium. The whole day is busy with procedures, and they are quite serious, this is not Karlovy Vary). Good drinking mineral water. You'll lose weight with it! Miraculous mud, thermal water, nature. A special pleasure is the swimming pools with thermal water, which have access to the street, they are already included in the price of your stay, and an excellent sauna complex. Swimming in warm thermal water in winter under the starry sky is a special pleasure! You achieve complete relaxation, all muscles warm up and relax. A normal reaction is an exacerbation of particularly acute sores in the first week. But then there comes a long period of stable remission. The accommodation in the Palace building was not bad, the standard room is small, but it has everything you need. The only drawback is that the room is cold in winter, as there is a strong draft from the French window. We also froze only in the five-star Thermia Palace, where central heating radiators are not provided at all, heating is only provided by a centralized air conditioning system, which clearly cannot cope. Therefore, we remembered with nostalgia the warm rooms in Grand Splendid and Esplanade. The rooms there are much warmer, the rooms themselves are larger in size, and there are separate bathrooms and toilets. So next time, perhaps, we’ll choose one of these cases. But I wanted to try to live in Palace - we lived and drew conclusions! But Palace is the closest to the treatment center, which is important for those with difficulty walking, of which there are also many. The food has become better, there are more dietary dishes. We took two meals a day, we liked everything. There were many interesting dishes of Slovak cuisine, delicious lamb, goose, and beef. There is always fish. Very tasty soups. Divine coffee and pastries. Previously, there was no such delicious coffee, we bought new coffee machines of very good quality. It was an evening of Italian cuisine. The waiters are very attentive, the prices for drinks are ridiculous. There was free tea at dinner. There is always fresh fruit. I was pleased with the loyalty system for regular guests. From our last visit, we still have more than 100 Europoints, which we used to pay for additional procedures. So don’t be lazy to fill out the form and get a loyalty card for the Danubius hotel chain, it is valid in all hotels of the chain. We always additionally purchase a visit to the mirror and mud pool at the Irma treatment center, we highly recommend it, the sensations are wonderful, as is the therapeutic effect, it costs 15 Euros per visit, many locals come, especially on weekends. For the first time we booked a visit through Sanatoriums. I liked everything very much. The price was the most attractive of all the offers for these hotels, including the hotel’s website! All prices were confirmed upon payment. The transfer from Vienna airport and back was smooth and comfortable, in a new Mercedes Vita minibus. The wonderful and friendly driver Milos gave us a great ride and told us a lot of interesting things about Slovakia and Piestany. We really enjoyed. We will definitely try to come back again! We stayed at Balnea Palace. This is our 4th stay at this hotel. Who decided to change the mattresses on the 2nd and 3rd floors to cheap non-orthopedic mattresses!!!!!! In a sanatorium with an orthopedic focus. The husband lay down and fell through! We changed to a room on another floor. Nutrition gets worse and worse every year, especially lunch and dinner. Few fresh fruits and vegetables. Replace with canned ones. 2 times I complained that the women’s mirror pool was dirty and asked to have it cleaned.
