I finally got around to writing a review, even though I returned exactly a month ago. We rested from 29.03 to 13.04. This is not the first time that we have chosen this hotel. For the past 4 years, twice a year, I have been vacationing in your beautiful city, and the fact that I choose this hotel speaks volumes. When Yuri greets you as good friends (I don’t understand how he manages to remember everyone), you want to come back again and again. The excellent location of the hotel and the kind attitude of everyone, and the treatment that we receive makes us come back again and again. The treatment I received lasts me until my next visit. Regarding the food: I read reviews that it was not tasty or salty or fatty... But for me it was always possible to choose. If you can afford to choose a fat duck today, then that's your problem. There has always been an alternative. For example, turkey breast. So, the choice is yours. And one more thing: this is not negative, but it must be taken into account. Easter in the Czech Republic is celebrated for five days. And people rest. Therefore, the number of procedures these days is minimal. This must be understood and accepted. But despite the holidays, the doctor saw us on the holiday and prescribed possible procedures so as not to miss days. This is not all about the hotel. A lot can be said. Now about the Sanatoriums website. You guys are great. I admire your well-coordinated and organized work!!!! I don’t think for a minute that I’ll fly in and maybe something won’t work out. But I don't do blood tests on strangers. And this is not mistrust, I just have “bad” veins and, not even always, my family doctor can take my blood for analysis. Therefore, I try not to injure myself or the staff. But “everything is paid for,” and when I asked to replace the blood test with a procedure, I was told: “That’s not possible.” But actually, why? And only an appeal to the hotel manager resolved this misunderstanding. Moreover, positively. But this is so, between the lines. So that this was our biggest problem.

Very good treatment base: gas injections, mud applications, baths, professional massage. There is a small swimming pool and saunas. Relaxation and treatment at the Humbolt Spa Hotel gave me only positive impressions. Convenient location, my room window overlooked the Tepla River and Dvorak Park. The room has daily high-quality cleaning. The work of the cooks is beyond praise: very tasty hot dishes and baked goods. The assortment of salads is somewhat meager, but this does not spoil the overall picture. The medical staff approaches each guest with attention and compassion. The range of procedures is quite extensive. The reception service, in my opinion, also works smoothly, promptly responds to requests, helps in organizing recreation not only at the hotel, but also at the resort in general (excursions, health path routes). Seriously cleaned once a week. Every day just a change of towels, possibly bathrobes, and regular tidying. Not a bad spa complex on the 6th floor. Very decent food made to order. There is no permanent presence of a doctor in the building. (The doctor does not come in every day and for a very short time). Careless and not very attentive attitude towards the patient during the initial appointment. To save appointment time, he sees the whole family at once. He prescribes procedures (for example, mud applications, massage, etc.) without specifying any details. The patient has to decide for himself and explain to the medical staff what to apply and where, etc. The price category of the rooms is not entirely clear. A deluxe with two bathrooms, a beautiful view from the windows, with a large balcony costs the same as a much smaller deluxe with one bathroom, without a balcony and overlooking the courtyard-well.

We arrived at the hotel in the evening at about half past eight, we didn’t get to dinner, but we also didn’t get anything in return, as happens in other hotels. We got the impression that we weren’t expected here at all. The organization of treatment was simply terrible. The head nurse was on vacation and some anxious aunt was running instead of her, torn between the computer and physical procedures. She couldn’t take a blood test from me, she just couldn’t do it. If a problem arose, there was simply no one to ask. In the first two days, long queues formed for gas injections, since everyone was invited at the same time. The procedures were explained illiterately, 1-2 on one day, 6-7 on another, not surprising. that many people had high blood pressure. The doctor's appointment was very short and formal and there was only one, instead of the required two. The doctor is also always in a hurry, apparently works for several hotels and does not even try to understand our problems. I think that next time we will choose another hotel.

The hotel staff was constantly changing (waiters, nurses), we did not understand why this was happening. It's good that the maid was always there. Flies were flying over the bread in the dining room. Very good hotel. The food is wonderful, during our two weeks of stay the dinners were never repeated (there were 2 meals a day). The breakfasts are very filling, lots of fruit, even watermelons in February, a variety of pastries. On Wednesday evenings there is live music at dinner. The hotel is very clean, cleaned every day, towels and bathrobes changed frequently, bed linen 2 times in 13 nights. The treatment is what is needed, after a 2-week stay the back pain stopped (injections, lymphatic drainage, endo-vaco and carbon dioxide baths did their job). Very pleased with my stay, I recommend it to everyone. Excellent staff attitude and excellent location in relation to the springs.

We lived on the 6th (last) floor. Room 601. 2 adults, 2 children. One slept on the bed, the other on the folding sofa (or rather suffered, since the sofa looked like a slide with waves, a nightmare). There were no blackout curtains in the large bedroom; we woke up with the first rays of the sun. There was no hanger bar in the closet in the small room. In general, if not for these 3 shortcomings, we could say that we had a wonderful time. Still, the human factor is the main thing. And the people working at this hotel are wonderful.

We really liked the sanatorium. Convenient location close to the springs to go to the city, also nearby. The resort staff is friendly and helpful. In the hotel lobby you will always be greeted with a smile and greeting. The treatment facilities are the same as in many sanatoriums in Karlovy Vary. A huge plus of this sanatorium is the medical building, which is located on the second floor of the main building. I think this is very convenient, especially for older people: you don’t have to run anywhere, look for your office, get confused between floors, and in some sanatoriums, even buildings. You calmly enter the medical building, leave your appointment sheet at the reception desk, and calmly communicate with other vacationers and wait on the sofa to be invited. No fuss, running around or anything like that. Moreover, the girls working in the medical building are quite responsive; they will tell, show, explain and help everything. The equipment in the medical building is new, we had enough procedures, we just missed the “salt cave”, there is none in the sanatorium. Although, when we were driving, we knew about it. During the 10 days we stayed in the room, our bed linen, bathrobes and slippers were changed 4 times. The room is cleaned every day, a little early, but it’s probably no different, like when we left for breakfast, they cleaned up our place. Nutrition is a completely separate topic. We read reviews that this is the weak point of the sanatorium, and the food needs to be improved. DON'T TRUST ANYONE!!! The assortment of dishes is quite large, there is a choice for every taste, the preparation is simply wonderful, everything is very tasty, the portions are simply huge, there are always sweet pastries for breakfast, lunch and dinner, for lunch and dinner there is also an assortment of fruits: apples, grapes, kiwis, plums, bananas , tangerines, pears, oranges, watermelons, melons, pineapples. But not in one day such an assortment at once, but at least three or four types of fruit at a time. Believe me, we have something to compare the food in Karlovy Vary sanatoriums with. Even the more rated hotels seemed weaker in terms of cuisine. There is a separate dietary menu (where everything is harmless, but for us it is not tasty, although if health forces it, then there is no escape...) And also a swimming pool, sauna and hot tub. You can go to the pool and bath all day long for free, the water is clean and the temperature is comfortable. From 16 o'clock the saunas are turned on, there are two of them: one is dry, like a Finnish one, the second is a hammam. There are sun loungers for relaxing, clean towels, a cooler with cold and hot water, a radio, two exercise machines: one elliptical and the other some kind of vibration. But there are also disadvantages: it is necessary to change the pillows in the rooms, which is simply terrible. Regarding food, I have a proposal to share a main dish and a side dish; this is not only my wish, but also that of other hotel guests. During breakfast, it is necessary to provide better heating of the buffet dishes. On some days the soups were too fatty; not all guests could eat them due to health reasons and there was no alternative. Conclusion, the hotel corresponds to the declared four, but the food needs to be improved.
