We rested at the sanatorium in February 2017. We were very pleased with the hotel, staff, quality of cleaning, medical care, and food. We took an economy room for 2 people, 16 sq.m (but I didn’t think that it included a toilet and a corridor), I don’t recommend this room to others, it’s very small for two people, it’s designed for one person. And this was the only negative in our vacation. The medical staff is very attentive and friendly, all procedures are done on time and with good quality. The girls who clean the rooms are great, clean, towels are changed every day, bathrobes, slippers at the request of the client, without talking. I would also like to say thank you to the restaurant workers, the food is delicious, there is a wide variety of dishes, and high-quality service. The reception staff is very friendly, any questions are resolved instantly. Once again I would like to say thank you for the holiday and the pleasure received from the good service. And I would also like the pool and sauna to be open longer in winter, and not until 8 pm. When it’s dark and cold outside, you don’t really want to go for a walk, but it’s very pleasant to sit in the warmth and communicate with other vacationers. First time at Humboldt and mostly enjoyed it. my room was on the third floor overlooking the square; of course, there’s nothing special to see in winter, but you’ll agree that it’s better than contemplating the courtyard of the building. the food is quite sufficient to be full, but I am of the opinion that since I came to drink mineral water, I need to limit myself in food. Regarding treatment, I will say that most of the procedures are the same as in most resort hotels. procedures are carried out mainly before lunch, exactly at the appointed time. We stayed at the hotel from February 6 to February 16, 2017. We were very pleased with our stay at the hotel. I really liked the location of the hotel, all the springs are nearby, the room is very clean and cozy. The bed, towels, bathrobes are all snow-white. If necessary, they will change it immediately. The bed linen was changed after four days of staying at the hotel. The room was warm. We were also pleased with the food. There were soups, the main courses were also varied, every day there was fish, fruit, cereals, juices, salads. In a word, there was something for every taste! When you check into the hotel, you are greeted by pleasant, friendly employees who are ready to help resolve any issue that you have. The medical staff is also very attentive and courteous. As a suggestion, I can only write one thing. If you came together (my husband and I) it is advisable that the terms for the procedures end at approximately the same time. Because I also want to see a wonderful city, our situation was something like this: my last term ended at one o’clock and my husband’s at five. This is not very convenient. Finally managed to relax in Karlovy Vary with sanatorium treatment. I'm glad I chose the Humboldt Hotel. We were satisfied with all the services provided and the level of service. The hotel has an excellent location. Close to the drinking galleries and the business center, which is important, since we took two meals a day and you can have a snack and buy groceries in the store quite close to the hotel. A large grocery store on Masaryk Street is a 5-minute walk away. Having read the January guest reviews, to be honest, I was expecting that the food would be mediocre, but we are not very picky about food, so we didn’t get upset in advance. But either the hotel management quickly responded to the comments, or these were some temporary problems. The food is excellent, porridge, dairy products, egg dishes, excellent pastries, fruits, 3-4 varieties of muesli, about 5 varieties of toppings, cheeses and sausages, red fish, plus a choice of hot dishes - this is breakfast. Dinners were also varied - vegetables, salads, soups, side dishes. For meat lovers, at least two dishes to choose from, steamed fish daily. It's hard to stay hungry. Yes, and I would like to note that people come to this hotel, among other things, for weight correction programs, about which there is information on the hotel’s website, so of course they won’t serve barbecue here))) Our family really liked everything about the food. Many thanks to the restaurant staff for their kindness. By the way, if you need to replace dinner with lunch, then just notify the reception or waiters at the restaurant about this. The rooms are clean, warm and comfortable. The photos on the site are true. Cleaning is absolutely adequate. Previous reviews noted that they do not replace towels that are not thrown on the floor. But this is a well-known practice in hotels; now decent hotels in Russia work this way. And in the Humboldta rooms there is information that if the towel is left hanging, then there is no need to change it. Regarding the unceremonious maids, it’s also not quite as other guests wrote. To avoid such incidents, use a sign about the need for cleaning or asking not to disturb, and you will be happy))) The medical base can give odds to large sanatoriums of the Kavminvod. Pleasant Mrs. Helena, our doctor conducted an initial examination and prescribed a program of procedures without any problems. You immediately remember some Kislovodsk sanatoriums, where you have to fight or pay extra for procedures, while the cost of the tour is quite comparable to ours. The girls at the medical center, it’s actually a fairy tale. They are so friendly, helpful and caring that it is simply impossible to communicate with them without smiling))) Sharka, Ratka, Katerina and everything, everything, everything - thank you so much!!! And of course, the face of the hotel is the people who welcome you and are ready to answer any questions and help in any situations. Everyone is correct and friendly. By chance, I had to communicate most with Yuri and Alexey. They can find answers to all questions. I would only like to wish the guys from the reception patience, because we have repeatedly observed the picture of our compatriots “blowing their brains”, which the staff actually managed to cope with))) one couple, in addition to the pressing problems of living in a sanatorium, was interested, for example, in the question of the chemical composition of water in all sources. Conclusion - the hotel corresponds to the declared stars. When choosing a hotel next time, I will consider the possibility of staying here as a priority.Positives
My wife and I rested at the hotel from February 11 to 18; it was almost our first time in Karlovy Vary (before that we once visited this resort while passing from Prague to Germany). The hotel is located very well, on the high left bank of the Tepla River, opposite the Termal Hotel. To the nearest source (15th) 2 minutes, to the farthest (1st A, B, C) a maximum of 15 minutes at a walking pace. We booked the room in December through a promotion on the website, so parking was free. By the way, the parking lot is very small, so just ask the employees to park your car. We booked an Economy room, but got a Standard room (fifth floor, 509) - a small thing, but nice! The room is located between the service elevator and the service room, however, thanks to excellent sound insulation, the room is very quiet. The heating works so well that we almost had to turn it off, and they kept the windows ajar all the time. The room was cleaned daily, efficiently (apparently, the incident described below by Andrey had an effect. By the way, after reading this review, I was already thinking about canceling the reservation, but I decided to give the hotel a chance, and I did the right thing). Bed linen is changed on a schedule, every 4 days; If you want to change towels, throw them on the bathroom floor. A robe and slippers are provided for the entire stay (mine gave up on the second day, as soon as I mentioned it, the maid immediately brought new ones). The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, if you need anything, ask at the reception, they will always help you. Although almost everyone speaks Russian, I advise you to stock up on a minimum of Czech phrases (thank you, please, etc. - people will be pleased). Now about medicine. Despite the fact that we arrived on Saturday, the doctor saw us on Sunday (!), and we underwent the first procedures on the same day. If you have not been examined at home (like us), at the first appointment you can express your wishes, which will definitely be listened to. The schedule of procedures can be coordinated with the medical staff, and, if possible, one or another procedure can be rescheduled. Wellness is located on the last, 6th floor. There is a sauna and steam room, whirlpool, a small swimming pool with a current (can be turned off), and showers. Our package also included three meals a day. Buffet, everyone chooses what they want, the choice is quite varied, so you definitely won’t be able to lose weight here, just as it didn’t work out for us (even vice versa). By the way, it seemed that there were several shifts working in the kitchen (each lasting a couple of days), which was reflected in the choice of dishes (on some days the choice was richer and more varied than on others). My husband and I were there from 02/5/2017 to 02/17/2017. I really liked the hotel, it is located in a very convenient location, a five-minute walk to the springs. I also liked everything about the hotel. The staff is very friendly. At the reception desk you are always greeted by friendly employees. I would especially like to mention the manager Yura. We wanted everything to be very clean and comfortable. During the procedures, you are greeted by a very friendly and friendly team. All procedures are carried out on time. If you have any request, they will always listen to you carefully and help you. For this, many thanks to the entire small but friendly team. The food was varied and always delicious. For this, many thanks to the cook and waiters, who also always greeted us friendly and served very well. Hello! I spent wonderful days in this hotel from 01/13/2017-01/27/2017 They gave me an improved room, although I ordered the usual standard. Double bed, good quality bed linen, this is important for me, I always take my own, it wasn’t needed here. The programs are in Russian, well, this is for those who like to watch TV! I lived in 509, the sound insulation was excellent. Towels were changed every day, there was a robe, slippers, shampoo, soap, hairdryer. At the reception, Mikhas and Alexey and the girl, unfortunately I don’t remember her name, will help with any question. I ordered theater tickets, found out the bus schedule to shopping centers. Everyone speaks Russian! The cuisine is a decent menu. Every day something new, stewed rabbit, tongue, goulash, pork, beef, chicken, salmon and various white fish, soups, herbs, vegetables, fruits, pastries. Everything is delicious. If you hope to lose weight, it’s unlikely! You want everything try it. Thanks to the cooks and waiters, always with a smile, they will tell you where what dish is and what it is made from. The doctor prescribes the procedures at the first visit, they take blood for analysis. Sharka and Radka are always greeted with joy, treated like a long-awaited guest who has finally arrived. All procedures last 20 minutes. Gas injections, gas bag, lymphatic drainage, pearl bath etc. If you don’t like something, you can replace it with another procedure or pay for additional ones. Swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath - all at your disposal! Source No. 6 is only a 7-minute walk, sources No. 12 and No. 15 are very close - 4 minutes. 1. A HUGE minus of the hotel, the smoking bar is located right at the entrance to the RESTAURANT, where breakfast, lunch, and dinner are held. ALL the smoke trails not only into the restaurant, but also rises upward due to the draft. We lived on the 3rd floor!!! Believe it or not, it reached us!!! Since I don’t smoke, this was UNPLEASANT, and a daily occurrence. 2. The water in the pool is quite cold (5 people got sick during our stay) 3. Room cleaning also leaves much to be desired. Let me give you an example. When checking into the room: a splattered mirror, white hair on the carpet (my hair is black) that had been lying there for 2 days, dust on the pictures and the mirror. 4. Quite OLD equipment (requires updating, especially the lymphatic drainage apparatus) - note to the hotel management. 5. There is a lack of space - people sit in a PASSAGE corridor, for example during the “paraffin gloves” procedure - it’s not comfortable, everyone passes through you, like in the subway. The same applies to inhalations - they also take place in the corridor near the baths. 6. Well, the last nuance that ALL the guests talked about is the lack of regular water for lunch and dinner.!!! IT IS CLEAR that we order tea and coffee separately. BUT... the lack of water for 4 stars is simply UNACCEPTABLE!!! Let me give you an example again. People needed to take medicine with meals, which was naturally washed down with water. Someone choked - they also need water! There is no water - just a shock! This is the FIRST time we see this in a hotel that positions itself as 4 stars. 7. Regarding the cuisine, the chefs cook delicious food, but the range of dishes is small. Especially monotonous breakfasts. This is not a biased opinion, but simply a comparative description in comparison with other hotels of the same 4-star category. For example with "Ambassador". Let them take their example. Bottled drinking water in the rooms, daily delivery of chocolates to the rooms in the evening by maids, upon arrival an individual card - a compliment from the hotel to EACH guest for a glass of champagne or coffee (to choose from). And PERFECT room cleaning - nickel and showers simply sparkle with their cleanliness!!! There is also great RESPECT for the variety of dishes at “Ambassador”!!! Lead by example! Мы снова открыли отель Humboldt с 1-ого февраля и я очень рад возможности доказать качество наших услуг в скором будущем, с радостью сообщаю, что с 1.02.17: - мы запретили курить во всем отеле и наш отель (включая бар) является некурящим. - температура воды в бассейне повышена и составляет 28 – 30 градусов. - принято на работу дополнительно 3 горничных, уборка во время проживания клиентов будет еще лучше. - изменили режим работы лечебного отделения, чтобы наши гости комфортно получали все 20 процедур в неделю. - на обед и ужин наши клиенты получают воду с лимоном, мятой и чай бесплатно. - в течении февраля мы уже примем решение о приятных сюрпризах для наших клиентов..
