I really liked the treatment and stay at the sanatorium, from the transfer to the treatment. Despite the flight delay, the driver of the car waited for us for an hour and a half. We arrived at the sanatorium in the evening and we were fed dinner despite the late hour. The room ~Comfort~ in the hotel is cozy and wonderful- freshly renovated, snow-white bed, soft blanket, refrigerator and safe in the room. After the examination, the doctor prescribed procedures that were carried out without delay - massage, swimming pool, baths, physiotherapy, mud therapy, parafango and others. The sanatorium staff is very friendly and polite, they speak Russian language at a sufficient level. The food is nourishing and tasty - there is an assortment of vegetables, fruits, meat dishes, soups, cold cuts and cheeses. In the cafe you can drink delicious tea and try various desserts. The sanatorium is located in a wonderful location - near the mountains, the Vakh River, around forests and parks. The air is very clean, which is rare in our time. Special thanks to Veronica for excursions, including around the sanatorium and Piestany, for organizing transfers, especially upon returning home when borders between countries were closed due to the coronavirus. We chose the hotel according to certain criteria - that it had its own medical facilities, as close as possible to the source and inexpensive, because... We spend only half a day at the hotel, then we travel around Slovakia. This hotel fully matches. Our rooms were improved (the guide said that they correspond to 4 stars), but this is only the room (excellently cleaned, friendly maids), the dining room and everything else fully justifies 2 stars. It may not be the season yet, but everything is dilapidated and everything is being repaired. The tablecloths in the dining room are not fresh; if you haven’t arrived at the beginning of breakfast/lunch/dinner, then most of the products (on the salad bar) will no longer be available and they are not updated. The rest of the dishes must be ordered 2-3 days in advance, they are tasty and not for everyone (all with gravy and dumplings), but this is local cuisine. Regarding the treatment base, most procedures can be taken without a doctor’s prescription; mud and a thermal pool are not prescribed on the same day. By the way, it is very inconvenient that the thermal pool is open only by sessions and for a fee (at other resorts it is free and usually open all day). The procedures are chaotically described at the Napoleon reception until 15:00 and sometimes the staff waits only for you and is not entirely happy with this, because... there is no one else and you are alone in the pool or on the mud. We tried to change the time, but it was impossible because... everything is paid in advance. But, you can negotiate directly with the hospital staff. Excellent location, 5 minutes walk to the city center, a hospital nearby and most procedures in the hotel itself, you can walk around the island, there is an excellent historical confectionery nearby.Negatives

In my opinion, the main advantage of this sanatorium is a large range of effective procedures aimed at treating the musculoskeletal system, and a well-organized treatment process, as well as the quality of work of the medical staff. The comfort of stay, interiors and food are at a quite decent level for a two-star sanatorium. The price/quality ratio is a plus of Pro Patria. The sanatorium is beautifully located on an island in a park area, close to the center of Piestany, a nice urban pedestrian area. For the sanatoriums of the bathing island, a program of events of both entertainment and health-improving nature is developed weekly. I enjoyed attending water aerobics in the excellent pool of the Esplanade sanatorium. The transfer service works well.Negatives
The swimming pool in the sanatorium is small and open for free swimming for a limited time, but you can visit the pools in other sanatoriums on the island at a reduced price, which are open full time. The inconvenience is created by the lack of information in Russian on the menu for ordering lunches and dinners. So if you don’t speak German or English, bring a Google translator for dinner. This is a ruined vacation. In 10 days you promised 31 medical procedures. In fact, there were 5 baths, 2 massages and 2 mud, one gas envelope. The rest is physical education and physiotherapy. At our work we feed the homeless so for future use the Patriot is worse. Only raw vegetables,( cabbage, carrots, I’m not a rabbit. I was simply starving for 2 days. I liked everything: the attitude of the staff, the quality of treatment, the number of procedures 48 in 14 days. One day off - Sunday. Accommodation in "comfort" rooms is fully consistent with 4*. Very friendly staff. However, like the entire population of this small but cozy town. Unique mud and water guarantee the recovery of your strained joints, corresponding to the symbol of the city - a broken crutch. I would draw the attention of vacationers to the fact that at first you will feel an exacerbation of the sores... But then it goes away. I am sure that I will come here every year; by the way, I have already made a reservation for next year. Separately, I would like to say about the extraordinary Veronica, who carefully and competently supervised our stay at the sanatorium. She answers questions so reluctantly and rudely that you simply wonder how she could even end up in this position. Some procedures are carried out in a hospital next to the hotel, but you have to walk along the street; there is no closed passage.
