Kovchar. The sanatorium is very conveniently located. The standard room is simple and small, but comfortable and clean. The food is quite decent, without frills or frills. My taste would have liked less gravy, but as far as I understand, a large amount of gravy is in keeping with the traditions of Slovak cuisine. WiFi works great both in the room and in public areas. Among the shortcomings, the most significant is the lack of elevators, which can be a serious problem for people with leg problems. There is little time for free use of the pool - only three times a week, in addition, on visiting days the pool is only open for two hours, from 15 to 17 hours. Among the minor shortcomings, I can note the lack of a bedspread on the bed in the room, which gives the room a somewhat hospital look, and the lack of a hairdryer in the room. A hairdryer is available at the reception and is available free of charge upon request. The list of services provided does not include the service of printing boarding passes for an airplane (for a fee).

I was treated at the Pro Patria sanatorium for the second time. I choose this hotel because I think it is optimal in terms of price/quality ratio. I really like the organization of the doctor’s appointment and treatment, all the staff are very responsive and friendly. The Comfort category room meets all the standards of a 4* hotel. The location of the hotel on Spa Island, in my opinion, is the best in Piestany.Negatives
The disadvantages include not a very varied diet. It is generally quite specific, you need to get used to it. The breakfasts were good, but lunches and dinners were different in that absolutely all dishes were topped with a huge amount of gravy. After my requests, they stopped adding gravies and sauces to my dishes and everything, in principle, became normal. It is not always possible to eat fresh vegetables; more often they are salads with vinegar dressing, which is not suitable for everyone. I advise you not to be shy and express your individual wishes to the waiters. They are happy to try to help.

The treatment is weak. There are not enough staff, so treatment is not complete. Gas injections and massages are cancelled, there is no hood. Instead, they offer a swimming pool, gymnastics and walks. As a result, the effect is weak. If you go, it’s better to go to Grant. The food is also not very good. At the reception desk I asked to scan a document (it took two minutes) - they refused even for money, I had to go to the city. I rested and received treatment from 06/5/2018 to 06/21/2018, comfort room, Pro Patria. Room: luxurious, huge, has everything you need, on the ground floor, next to a restaurant, treatment, park. Treatment: start - appointment with a doctor, procedures are scheduled, 56, everything is strictly in due time. Mud envelope + mineral thermal pool, electrotherapy (very necessary in the complex!), massages, parafango, physical therapy exercises on land and in the pool. There was a slight aggravation at the beginning, but then everything evened out! Territory: magnificent park!!! I arrived when it was in full bloom, such a variety of different flowers, shrubs and very thick huge trees. Clean, well-groomed, many benches in cozy corners. There is a small children's corner with swings and climbing frames. Food: high-quality and slightly dietary, no fatty foods, no fried foods, sufficient portions, there is a choice of four dishes - this is the second - lunch and dinner (well and tasty cooked), breakfast and salads - buffet. Drinks are available for breakfast and dinner, and water for lunch. Staff: friendly, friendly, trying to help. This is my second time coming to Piestany, the first time was in 2016, for two years my joints and bones didn’t bother me at all, it’s amazing! But this year they slowly began to remind themselves of themselves, I decided to come again, I didn’t regret it at all! I would like to draw attention to some details: 1) Accommodation - room - in 16 nights, bed linen was changed only once, towels were changed twice, but requests are fulfilled upon request. 2) Treatment - it’s very inconvenient to look for treatment rooms in the Napoleon center, well, very inconvenient! Everyone walks around asking where and what. We have to solve the puzzle every time, we definitely need to reconsider the logistics, a huge request from everyone! Massage - massage therapists have very different qualifications, some are very weak, they just lightly stroke and that’s it. I ordered an additional paid massage De Luxe, 17.06 in the afternoon, paid 41 euros, 50 minutes. A young guy gave me a massage, stroked me for 35 minutes, that’s all! And this is De Luxe? 3) Food - a big request - do not add vinegar to salads, sometimes it is impossible to eat, and it is advisable to diversify milk porridges, there were semolina twice and the rest of the time only oatmeal. There is absolutely no dairy products, no yoghurts, nothing! Serve baked sweets for breakfast, with tea and coffee, but not at lunch, when there is nothing to wash it down. Fruits were present, but in very small quantities and quickly ran out. Sometimes we had to wait a long time for the second one to be brought, and time was limited due to procedures. 4) Reception - it was announced that they understood Russian, but no! It is very difficult to communicate and ask for anything. Google translator came to the rescue. When we checked in on 5.06, it turned out that the safe in the room was closed, the woman at the reception said that she couldn’t help, only tomorrow morning. In the morning, nothing again, I had to convince for a very long time that I needed a safe and I couldn’t use it because it was completely closed. Ugly and dismissive attitude, it was very annoying! But this is the only such disrespectful attitude towards the client.

The first time we vacationed here was in September 2017. We liked everything very much and therefore, to consolidate the therapeutic result, we came again in April 2018. And we were not disappointed - from check-in to check-out we felt welcome - the attitude of all the staff was welcoming, caring, and professional. We want to come again. We booked a Comfort room, three meals a day, 24 procedures per week. The procedures were carried out strictly according to schedule, everything was effective. The food, as described, is semi-dietary - not spicy, not overcooked, everything is very tasty and varied. I would also like to mention the magnificent park - a favorite place for walks for both vacationers and local residents. Among the vacationers we met people who came here for the 8th or 10th time. And a lady from Denmark has been going to this resort for 15 years and at 74 she looks like she’s 60! We were very lucky with the weather - we arrived on April 29, right in the summer! Here people write in reviews about boiling water, kettles and boilers... Guys, what are you talking about? Take two meals a day and something light for the evening from Billa. And after three meals a day, you don’t need anything else except losing weight. By the way, the scales are right in the corridor :) And they are accurate, verified! It’s too early to talk about the results of treatment, but fresh air, nature, bright, friendly people and good weather definitely did their job. I didn’t like the imposition of 4 “mandatory” procedures per week. Group exercise is not a procedure at all. In the last two days of our stay, fresh, young faces in white coats appeared, seemingly trainees. After the mud envelope, I ended up with a guy-masseur, who obviously knew about massage only in theory. I understand that you need to practice on someone. But why on people who already have enough health problems and came to treat them? In fact, there is no negativity. There are a couple of organizational wishes. 1. It so happened that on Saturday, when the procedures ended early, the electronic lock on the front door stopped working in our room. Due to the fact that the master of these locks does not work on Saturdays/Sundays, a locksmith was sent with a set of mechanical tools. Naturally, he could not fix the electronic lock and we were asked to move to another room. Unfortunately, everything together took a lot of time and plans for that day were ruined. Of course, this is a matter of chance. But it is desirable that the staff be prepared for such accidents and react more quickly, so as not to waste vacation time of vacationers. 2. Intensive ventilation is not provided in the group physical education room. One window is not enough for a hall without air conditioning, where a dozen adults work out and sweat. One final note regarding the cleanliness of the transfer vehicle. On the way back from the hotel to the airport, the interior of the car was not very well maintained, not to mention the cleanliness of the windows. We pay for a comfortable trip. During a long trip you have to rest your eyes somewhere. Please wash the car at least from the outside, so that you can see through the glass (either the windshield or the side glass).
