The stay was slightly overshadowed by the fact that they did not immediately tell me what time I needed to see the doctor in the morning. The doctor, unfortunately, turned out to be a little incompetent in some treatment issues and did not say (the appointment was on Saturday) that she would prescribe procedures for me on the same day , and that I take a printout of the procedures at the reception. On Monday, having received the printout, I was not very happy with the treatment plan. Another doctor adjusted my procedures and we discussed my treatment plan. I was very pleased with this adjustment. Many thanks to her!!!!!! I don’t remember his last name, but this doctor’s name is Katarina. He speaks Russian very well!!!!

Until I hung up the sign, they didn’t clean the room, they just took out the trash. The medical building is very far away, you have to run all day. It’s very difficult for elderly people, and that’s the whole contingent. During physical therapy in the pool there was a trainer who led like this, that it was disgusting to do. The staff must always remember that the influx of people wishing to come to the sanatorium depends on their professionalism and attitude. The food is very meager. They don't serve tea in the evening. There are few benches on the premises.

Everything is put on a conveyor belt, the culture of carrying out procedures that we saw in Druskininkai, Lazne, Karlovy Vary was lacking. Absolutely it’s unclear why a new massage therapist was assigned each time for a massage. The medical staff should be more polite with people. The medical complex has a huge number of different procedures, modern equipment, excellent, attentive staff! The accommodation is excellent, the standard room is large, with a balcony overlooking the park. The area is green, clean, well-groomed. The food is varied, very tasty, filling, large portions. We are very pleased with our acquaintance with Slovakia. It is beautiful, clean, nice, the residents are good-natured, open, sympathetic, always ready to help. Excellent location, silence, nature, treatment, the opportunity to swim in the outdoor pool even in bad weather - warm water, an unusual feeling when it is only +7 outside. I was on vacation in April. At home the snow had not yet melted, but here it was real summer. In the first days the temperature reached +26. True, then it became cooler - but this did not interfere. Even if it’s rainy, you can walk through the passages for procedures without going outside. I liked the attitude of the staff in the medical building - very attentive and diligent.Negatives
On the negative side: I wasn’t very lucky with the doctor (name is Peter - I don’t remember his last name) - this is not just my opinion. He's "nothing". I don’t have any serious health problems yet, but if I did, such a doctor wouldn’t help. He prescribes procedures on an unclear basis (most likely, “where it’s not busy”). If you know what you need, then you can ask for the necessary procedures. Also, the schedule for receiving procedures is often unsuccessful; if someone likes to travel and see some places, it is difficult to combine. I wasn’t very interested in this, but you can still plan something more compact. With meals - I took half board, I think I made the right decision. Everything suits you at first, but then, by the end of the second week, it gets so boring, and if there were 3 meals a day, it would get boring even earlier.

We lived as a family in a two-room apartment, very spacious, for two weeks. Cleaned every day, fine. The territory of the sanatorium is huge. It’s very quiet, the birds are singing. Very large parking - 1€ per day. There is also a city bus service. On the territory of the sanatorium there is a large outdoor heated swimming pool, open from early morning until 21-00. The food was very tasty, in the morning there was a buffet, and lunch and dinner the day before you choose and order from six dishes. I liked the treatment: modern medical equipment, attentive staff, no queues everywhere - timely.Negatives
We were with an 11-year-old child and wanted to buy her procedures, but it was refused, since children under 16-18 years old are not treated. Therefore, the child had nothing to do for two weeks. People were smoking on the balcony above (although smoking is prohibited in the hotel), they asked the reception to solve this problem, because... all the smoke was coming into our room, we were asked to be patient. I would also like there to be kettles in the rooms, since drinking in the restaurant was only available in the morning.

We stayed at the sanatorium, in this hotel, from September 23 to October 7. Impression. The hotel currently fully corresponds to three stars. Clean and well maintained. The rooms are standard. There is a balcony. There is a separate toilet, a bidet and a bath. The room is cleaned every day. Our towels were changed almost every day. The maids are polite and helpful. Wi-Fi in all rooms and there is a separate room with two computers, the speed is very good. It is worth noting the very diverse program of excursions offered. We especially recommend going to Lake Dukhonka and eating smoked trout. You are guaranteed to not be able to taste such fish anywhere else. The restaurants are cozy. The range of dishes is also quite standard, salads, fruits... drinks. Two different and very tasty soups, and you can also eat soup in the evening. You order your choice of second courses yourself. Delicious. The presentation is beautiful, the waiters are polite. Almost everyone understands Russian, which is important for older Russian-speaking guests. Treatment. We must say right away that we have not received such treatment anywhere. The number of procedures is so varied. For some, improvement occurs within a few days. Again, all the staff are polite and try to provide maximum convenience to customers. Some patients come every year because they do not receive such help anywhere. It is very important. So everything regarding treatment is at a very good level. Doctors help you change procedures if you don’t like something. No problem. Our impressions of staying at the Grand Splendid Hotel are excellent. Very comfortable. I didn't want to leave. The weather was simply wonderful, only at the end of our stay, in October, there were a couple of rainy days. The air there is such that you will remember it for a long time. To those who write dissatisfied reviews about the Grand Hotel, I want to say the following. You should not expect from a three-star hotel what you will be offered in a five-star Thermia. Or other higher class hotels. The Grand Hotel lives up to its stars. If anyone doesn't like it, remember, this is a budget hotel. If you need a higher class, pay more and get another hotel. We are very grateful to the managers and hotel staff and will certainly come back to rest and be treated again. I bow to you and thank you very much....

Monotony of fruits (apples, oranges), I would like more choice. It would be nice to have bikes for rent. I would not like the complex program to include mandatory group physical education; each guest needs to be approached individually. I visited the gym almost every day and group physical education was unnecessary and weak for me, and the doctors refused to exchange it for other (more necessary procedures). We were not notified that tests were included in the cost of the program (we found out about this on the last day of our stay, and then by accident).
