We were in Vary for the first time. Impressions from the hotel are only positive!! I really liked the hotel staff, they were polite and friendly. Special thanks to Arthur and Iva, it was always possible to agree on rescheduling procedures, and in general they were very pleasant to talk to. The food is excellent, you can order half board for either lunch or dinner, and if you arrive late from excursions, dinner will be brought to your room. Overall the hotel is very good.Negatives
There is no negativity. Well, if only a wish that I wanted to say about the view from the rooms to the courtyard. Maybe it’s possible to somehow improve the area from thickets of nettles, etc.

The hotel is located in the very center of the resort. I had a room with a balcony, which had a magnificent view of the embankment. The nearest source is a 7-minute walk. The staff of the medical department works conscientiously. I am satisfied with the treatment. If you need to change the time of procedures, they will always accommodate you. In general, the hotel staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is very good, there is a choice of dietary dishes, varied, although I would like to try some dishes again.Negatives
I booked a single room. I received confirmation of my reservation from sanatoriums.com. The price was higher than many hotels of the same class. After reading the reviews, I decided that this hotel was more expensive due to its high rating. Upon arrival, it turned out that a double suite with a river view was booked in my name, and there were no single rooms there. I don't know whose mistake it was. I was the only one who certainly didn’t need such a large room, and I wouldn’t pay for it. At night the street can be noisy. If you have trouble sleeping, choose a quieter place. My bed linen was changed once in 11 days, and then at my request.

Good afternoon I spent unforgettable days in Karlovy Vary. It was a great success for me that, having arrived for the first time in Karlovy Vary, I ended up at the OSTENDE Spa Hotel. Many good things: 1. Very favorable location of the hotel. Many paths to the mountains, the Diana funicular, the Theater, and concert halls are very close. 2. Very cozy hotel, wonderful room, quiet, beautiful decoration of the premises. 3. I especially want to say a lot of good things about the restaurant and food. The food was so tasty, varied, the food was greeted and served so friendly, that I want to come again and enjoy life.... 4. I got everything I wanted for treatment. Very grateful. 5. All the staff are great! Thank you very much!! If possible, I will definitely come to the OSTENDE Spa Hotel!!! .

Karlovy Vary in May, when everything is in bloom, is a fairy tale!!! And the Ostende sanatorium did not disappoint us at all. We were examined by a very attentive young woman doctor (unfortunately, they did not ask her name). The work of the medical staff - Eva and Arthur - is beyond praise! My husband mixed up the time of the procedure, they immediately replaced it with another one, they tried to time the procedures compactly and one after another. Special thanks to the cook, everything was very tasty, but I will never forget the carp and pike perch! A very comfortable bed in the room, and the fact that our windows overlooked Tepla and the fountain did not interfere at all, the fountain even lulled us to sleep, we slept for six months in advance in a week!Negatives
The only negative is that the sanatorium is located a little far from the business and shopping center of the city, but when we were too lazy to go along the same route again, we took city bus No. 2 from the Opera House. A ticket for one trip costs only 18 CZK; you could buy a pass for a week, something around 220 CZK.

We rested with our daughter from 04/29/17 to 05/09/17. The hotel is very worthy! You can feel care and attention in everything. Very comfortable rooms, excellent cuisine, helpful staff. The treatment is good, all the necessary procedures are available. Special thanks to the massage therapist Igor, Above all praise!!! We know that cosmetology is at a good level, but we didn’t have much time, so we postponed it until next time. We'll come back here again and again. We recommend it to everyone!!!

Karlovy Vary - that says it all. A world-famous resort with more than a century of history. The main thing here is still the magic water, the rest is a pleasant and useful application. The hotel is good, located in a pedestrian area, close to Pupp and the main spring (geyser). Each has its own pros and cons, but I want to say that the hotel earns its B rating. The kitchen works great. Varied and excellent menu. There is always the opportunity to choose food to your taste. The doctor prescribes fairly effective procedures. I liked the work of nurse Yana and the massage therapist. I would return to this hotel again!Negatives
There was negativity. When checking in, I directly indicated that 2 separate beds were needed, however, this was not taken into account during check-in. It was not very comfortable for me and my elderly mother to sleep in the same bed. The guy at the reception said that he wouldn’t decide anything until Monday (we arrived on Saturday!). I separated the beds myself and asked for a sheet. We arrived late in the evening. Dinner was left in our room. I asked for a kettle, but the same young man said that there was a kettle, he was the only one and he had it, he wouldn’t give it to us. The guy clearly forgot that he is for vacationers, and not they for him)). Bed linen was not changed during the entire stay. The maid only changed towels upon request. It's all negative! In fact, this is a trifle and nonsense that could not spoil the impressions of the holiday.

A year later, they recognized me at the reception, this is Tomas, and in the hotel restaurant, this is Stefan and Natalia. We were greeted with smiles and cordiality. Everything is great! We came to Ostend for the second time (we visited in September 2015), since we really liked everything the first time. Still excellent food: everything is very tasty. Since my last visit, the hotel has changed the doctor and head nurse. Immediately everything changed for the worse. The doctor prescribed the same procedures at our request that were done last year. However, he did not indicate the number of procedures, and Yana (the head nurse) determined their number at random, most likely choosing those where there were free places in the schedule. She gave her husband only 3 baths, but then 10 inhalations and 5 oxygen therapy (the doctor did not prescribe oxygen therapy at all, but in order to get the number of procedures to the required number, Yana added them herself). When we asked to change it, the answer was that all bath times were taken. She also does gas injections poorly. The massage therapist (Alexander) did a very bad job; in my opinion, he doesn’t know how to do massage at all. I was prescribed a foot massage, I went to him once and decided that I didn’t need such a disgusting massage. My husband got the same impression from the back massage. The masseur was actually fired while we were there. Only Arthur does his job very well, is very attentive, carefully controls the process of the procedure, during the procedure he will definitely come in and ask how you are feeling. On some days he worked alone and did an excellent job even with a very heavy workload. The hotel clearly needs one more medical worker. It seems that the hotel saves money on treatment by hiring unskilled workers, which discredits its reputation. I do not recommend treatment in this hotel.

Yesterday we returned from the resort. We were very pleased with our vacation. Hotel "Ostend" is not big, but very cozy. Our room was large (room 201) with beautiful furniture and a view of the Tepla River. And what wonderful people work here!!! We went for procedures in the morning. I would especially like to note the work of Arthur. This young man charged us with energy for the whole day. He did everything clearly and professionally. For which I thank him very much. As for food, everything is at a decent level. It’s very good that all drinks at lunch and dinner are free. Respect to the cook, waiters Natasha and Stefan for their attentive and kind attitude. We visited the salt cave at the Morava Hotel. A very useful procedure. Karlovy Vary is a wonderful place where you can have a good rest and improve your health.
