We came to the sanatorium for the first time for the New Year 2018, were satisfied and went again in November 2018, and then in April 2019. Such frequent visits in themselves indicate that we come at the first opportunity - we were so pleased! But if on our first visits we stayed in standard double rooms and the rooms seemed a little cramped, then in April of this year, staying in a two-room suite with two separate bathrooms (one with a bath, the other with a shower) turned out to be even more pleasant and comfortable. So, if possible, on your next visit to the sanatorium we love so much, only a luxury suite! The only pity is that the sanatorium is under permanent renovation and there may be problems with accommodation. As an alternative, a similar sanatorium in Birštonas is offered, where the sanatorium staff organized an introductory tour with a visit to individual procedures, a pool and sauna block, dinner and a tour of the rooms. The location of the sanatorium in Birštonas compares favorably with a similar sanatorium in Druskininkai - one walking trail along the Neman with stunning views, well-groomed recreation areas, and a public garden is worth a lot! But the Birštonas sanatorium seemed a little crowded, the dining room was more cramped with fewer dishes on the buffet, and the pool was a little small, which is probably especially noticeable in high season! I already wrote in previous reviews about the salt rooms. Small screens and constantly the same videos of concerts for years. Is it really impossible to pick something new and change the repertoire?
