The hotel does not qualify for 4*, the most that can be given is 3* and that’s a stretch. No swimming pool Sauna for 25 min. You could take it 3 times a week. You make the choice yourself: sauna or jacuzzi. For sauna lovers, 25 minutes is nothing... Also: old and torn robes with large holes and rolls. We vacationed at the Krivan Sanatorium at the end of December - beginning of January. The sanatorium is within walking distance to the Colonade, literally a 7-10 minute walk from the hotel to the mineral springs. Our room was located on the second floor and had a glassed-in balcony. From the window there was a beautiful view of the central part of the city. The room turned out to be quite quiet, bright and very warm. The hotel has new equipment for medical and health procedures. Despite the fact that we had quite a lot of appointments, the process of receiving procedures was organized in such a way that we did not have to wait for them at all. We really liked it. We took two meals a day. European breakfast - buffet, dinner - salads, soup and a second hot dish - to order. We had enough. For breakfast you take as much as you need. And for dinner, the portions were so huge that it wasn’t possible to finish it all every time. The girls who work in the hall provide very good and fast service. They meet the wishes of the guests. We had an early departure from the hotel, so they prepared and gave us the opportunity to have breakfast before the restaurant officially opened. Many thanks to them for this. Overall we were very pleased with our stay. If we go to Marianske Lazne again, we will definitely stop at Krivan!Negatives
It was a little noisy in the room from the compressor running outside; we especially noticed this at night, when all other sounds die down. I would like to wish the girls who do classic massage to put more effort into stretching the patients’ muscles :)) But overall, as I wrote above, we were satisfied with everything.

Otherwise, there are obvious savings everywhere: 1. Restaurant: you can’t call it a restaurant, it’s a Soviet-era workers’ canteen. The dinner menu suggests 4 hot dishes, but in reality only 2 are offered. Salads are sliced tomatoes and cucumbers, sprinkled with vinegar. The only thing that pleased me were the desserts, it seems the chef doesn’t prepare them, they are purchased externally. Some of the tables were reserved, the rest - depending on your luck. True, there are no complaints about the staff, they tried their best, were polite and served quickly. 2. For the use of the minibar as a refrigerator for our products, the hotel asked us 500 CZK, although in the hotel description this service was stated as free. After negotiations with the Sanatorium staff, this problem was resolved.

I really liked everything at the resort at Spa Hotele Krivan****: the location of the hotel in the center opposite the Colonnade, how we were greeted at the information desk very warmly and politely, the room is excellent, the bed is light and comfortable, white bathrobes and slippers - everything is pleasant... Huge thanks to nurses Anna, Svetlana, Ramona, all terms for procedures are clearly organized (an hour, an hour and a half and the whole day is free). The girls in the restaurant are greeted like family, everyone is so great! Thank you again and may God bless you all! In the town of Marienbad itself, such autumn beauty cannot be described...

The room next to the elevator shaft (e.g. room 41) is an imposition. When the elevator starts going up and down at 4 a.m. because groceries have to be brought to the 5th floor, you can't sleep anymore. It would be nice if you could sit in a lounge for a while in the evening and have a drink, have a nice chat or play something together with other hotel guests. It's missing some kind of bar or something similar. Or at least a vending machine where you can get something to drink outside of restaurant hours. The mattresses are very hard. There were three of us in three single rooms and each of us had our bones and backs aching in the morning.

The carpet near the bed is saturated with the smell of urine. Deodorant did not help eliminate this unpleasant odor. The hood in the toilet does not work well.
