The stay in the "hotel" was a disaster: the receptionist felt bothered by questions, the service in the dining room was terrible. If you arrived 1 minute early, you were rudely reminded to stick to the times, if you arrived on time, the tables were not set, there was no drink, the coffee machine didn't work and so on. The breakfast was monotonous: 3 types of sausage, 1 type of cheese, a bit of vegetables (cucumber, tomato, pepper). The same sausage every day, the same cheese. Plus juice from a tetra pack, milk and if the machine worked, 2 types of coffee: with or without milk. The chef was a man like a bear, but unfortunately he smelled like it too. Overall, the kitchen was a no-go. Room: unfortunately, no pictures can be added, so I'll try to describe it. There are large gaps in the suspended ceiling in the hallway and bathroom, not because the panels were shifted but because they were too small. the carpet was closed, in some places the floor underneath was visible. The door to the terrace was held together with a Spax screw at the handle. Both doors were leaky. The bathroom was OK, but only 1.5 x 2 meters and the exhaust air in the windowless room only worked for 30 seconds. The elevator sometimes only worked after being persuaded to do so. We are sorry that the customer did not enjoy his stay here, but let's ask ourselves why the customer did not come to the reception. We had a great view of Marienbad from our rooms. The hotel's location is perfect: central but still quiet. The rooms are large and pleasantly warm (April). When the weather is good you can sit on the balcony and enjoy the view. The treatments are good, Nikol from the Balneo Center tries very hard and does a lot, but she shouldn't do all the work alone.Negatives
Parking is only available for a fee and is expensive. Beds and mattresses are much too hard, I regularly had back pain when I woke up in the morning. The food is so-so, some dishes taste good, but we had potatoes as a side dish for 6 days in a row and that just can't be healthy. There are always 4 options for dinner, that might sound OK but in reality it's strange. You either eat potatoes or dumplings or something cold for dinner. It was a mystery to us why they didn't offer rice, risotto, couscous, pasta or something similar. Many people have already written about the salad. You don't go hungry but there's no talk of enjoying the food either. They cut corners at every corner in this hotel, the rolls are counted, you don't see dessert, and they hardly refill anything. What is eaten at the beginning is left behind. There are no kettles in the rooms, so if you want to drink tea in the evening you have to buy one. The doctor prescribes treatments but automatically recommends another hotel (Svoboda), where you can get other treatments for an extra charge. Response to the review: 1. Parking behind the hotel is very limited and mainly for the disabled. When the customer asked if there was a parking option, we definitely made him aware of the fee and offered him a parking space 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Even if it still seemed expensive to him, the reception certainly offered free parking in any department store. The reception is pleasant and on the contrary advises the customer according to his possibilities. 2. Food: The food in the hotel is varied, even with the side dishes that are available and it is not true that the guest had no choice and had to eat only potatoes for 6 days. Pastries are certainly not counted and they are still in abundance, the dessert is baked every day directly in the hotel, so it is not true that there is no dessert and that cannot happen. As for the refills at the breakfast buffet, the waiter always refills. In case several people come at once, there is a note at the breakfast buffet that the buffet will be refilled within 5 minutes. 3. There are no kettles in the rooms and we do not advertise them. 4. The doctor mentions the procedures at the Hotel Svoboda only if the procedures are not performed at the Hotel Kriváň at the client's request.

During the 2 weeks of my stay, the towels were changed only 2 times. I didn't like the food. The breakfast buffet was from 8 to 10. But at 9 o’clock there was practically nothing. Lunches and dinners are not tasty. The only plus about this is that you don’t overeat like in other hotels. And a very important note about doctor Bortnik. He does not examine visitors, does not ask at all about your illnesses and your condition. I didn’t even measure my blood pressure during the initial examination. The reception lasted about three minutes. This is no good! The doctor only consults with the client; we do not conduct examinations with the doctor anywhere. It's a big difference. If the client had comments about the consultation and wanted to undergo a more extensive examination, the client is always offered the opportunity to go to see a doctor.

We do not offer a salad buffet anywhere. If the client didn't have enough, it could be added. It's written all over the restaurant. Hygiene in balneology is in perfect order. The other massage therapist was on vacation, so the colleague was there alone, but this does not change the quality of the services provided.

Even the water for tea and coffee was only warm, not to mention the main dishes. The famous Czech dumpling was dry, cold, not appetizing and more like a piece of old bread. Unfortunately the hot tub doesn't depend on us. The repair is very lengthy and demanding for a German company. The company doesn't have time. It's definitely not that we as a hotel don't want to fix this. We don't understand where the customer came up with this. However, the customer received compensation for the hot tub. The location of the hotel is good, next to a trolleybus stop. Colonnade with springs nearby. I really liked the work of the medical staff (or rather, only one girl works there), she’s so good, diligent, dexterous, she does massage well. Procedures are carried out conveniently every day and on weekends. We had a nice room with a separate bedroom and a balcony. The hotel itself is small.Negatives
Although we liked the procedures, we did not like the so-called balneological center itself. Basement room, musty air, no buttons to call staff, very dangerous especially in the bathroom. Jacuzzi is not working. The cuisine, the food is almost always prepared delicious, but the choice is very small, there are a lot of spices.
