We stayed at the Ambiente Hotel for the second year in a row. I really like the Spa area: saunas, swimming pool, salt room. Good treatments, delicious food, a friendly atmosphere and price-quality ratio help us get healthy.

Basically, all the rooms are not large and almost all of them face the road, which is a dead end, but on this narrow street there are 2 hotels facing windows. Very noisy! All sounds are like in a stone bag! Cars driving up to hotels early in the morning for technical unloading and loading purposes cause quite a bit of trouble; opposite the beer bar, people are having fun. In general, you can’t sleep in the evening, and in the morning you wake up just before light. Food is a song without waste production, what is not eaten is pureed into pates, baked into casseroles, like mashed potatoes were left served 3 times, the first time fresh mashed potatoes are all good, the second time is already heated and the next day in the form of potato cutlets, but how you had to try hard to spoil the potatoes, it was something gray, and overcooked so that even a healthy stomach would “wrap up.” Packed rations for the whole day 3 sandwiches, they took almost a loaf of bread and a thin plastic of cheese or sausage, and what thickness of slices do you have you know, 2 apples and 250g of water. We also planned a full day trip for the following weekend. I approached the manager and asked to make a recalculation for the weekend for meals (I paid with them in cash), their amazement was genuine. In general, they consider their money well; to this day there is a residue left from these rations, like beggars on the porch. She asked me to make a ration at least corresponding to the diet for 3 meals a day for 2 people, they replaced the sausage and cheese with a piece of fried meat, which was fried in I don’t know what kind of oil and on what date. I don't need that kind of ration!!! But you must have a conscience! Meals for 3 excursion weekends with full board for two people is a decent amount. A 4-star hotel does not deserve anything, no more than 3. In general, I do not recommend this hotel to those who want to lie down, get some sleep, or who are very tired from hard work because... You won't be able to relax. Before this we had a rest at the villa "Laureta", there was complete silence, the food was made to order, everything was delicious and always fresh. The treatment is also top notch.

We decided to abandon some not particularly significant procedures in favor of walks and excursions. Replacing them with others or at least changing the schedule turned out to be not entirely easy. But this is understandable; you need to plan your excursion schedule yourself in advance. Nevertheless, a compromise was found. So we can call this more of an experience for the future than a minus.

Room cleaning is very superficial. When checking in, I had to ask for a different room because of dust, crumbs and hair on the table in the room. The food is delicious, but there is a very limited selection of dietary options. I have no desire to come to this sanatorium again.

I have been to Karlovy Vary more than ten times in different sanatoriums; I have been coming here since 1998. Through the Sanatorium for the third time. Work with the service and cooperation with sanatoriums is well organized. This is the 3rd time at this hotel (through the Sanatorium 2nd). The treatment is traditional for HF, the conditions for receiving it are different - from separate rooms to couches behind a curtain. We booked a double room "standard" and ended up on the 5th floor. I would call this room "economy". The room is quite small, small bathroom with shower. The shower stall is also small. Room cleaning could have been better. The elevator was very slow, sometimes the wait took more than 5 minutes. In the restaurant, for dinner, with three meals a day, only water is free.

The schedule of procedures can be very inconvenient, and changing the schedule can cost a fee! The cleaning was not very high quality, there was carpet on the floor and it was never vacuumed. The administrator, assuming that we were not in the room, brought potential visitors to show our room! I was in the room and she didn’t dare go in with them. Based on reviews from other tourists, I realized that there are simply no bad hotels in Karlovy Vary. For me personally, the main advantages of Ambiente are the following: - a buffet with a large selection of dishes (snacks, hot dishes, fruits, desserts) and the creative character of the chef, all of whose dishes are interesting to look at and want to try; - the hotel staff is helpful if you need to go on an excursion - procedures are postponed to other days; the entire staff, as a rule, tries to create a good mood, they come to the rescue on any issue; - the interiors of the hall and restaurant are impressive; I have never seen a lobby bar that looks like a library in an English castle; The terrace deserves special attention, especially for those whose rooms do not have balconies; - Thermarium is beyond praise!
