Overall, I liked the rest and treatment at the Belarus sanatorium. The central location of the hotel in this wonderful city and at the same time the calm atmosphere also played a role. I would especially like to note the very good work of all the service staff - it is their work that in many ways creates the main impression of staying in the sanatorium. You can’t call everyone that right away, but in the dining room it’s Yurgita and Natalya - they are friendly and will always try to help with the choice and replacement of dishes, in the main 10-story building - the maids - cleaned well and quickly, and always friendly and competent receptionists helped with with pleasure in any matter. Since I didn’t need all the procedures from the package, I did only what suited me and took a few additional paid procedures. So the treatment suited me. Mud and mineral baths always took place on time and in a calm atmosphere, I received a high-quality, professional massage from Birute Jaskalevičienė, and the wool wraps in the children's building also pleased me. Unfortunately, I didn’t write down all the names, but in fact, many thanks to everyone for creating a pleasant atmosphere in the medical buildings. The food didn’t really suit me personally; in my opinion, a buffet is the most convenient way to choose what you need at the moment from food. For me, this point will be decisive in the future in choosing a sanatorium along with a medical facility. I would like to note that, in my opinion, the choice of ready-made dishes in the sanatorium is quite wide; you can ask for something to be replaced or prepared taking into account your needs - no one will go hungry. You can, of course, list the sometimes dilapidated furniture and equipment in some offices as minuses, but this did not really affect me as everything is kept clean and tidy. Considering all of the above, I rate the overall impression of the stay at 7-7.5 points out of 10.

A complete failure of the service with towels: in the SPA there were only a few towels available for rent, those who have water procedures 2-3 times a day need a dry towel every time, in the room there is also only one large towel per person and If you’ve already used it in the morning, then it’s wet and won’t dry before the procedure or the pool, and it may not even be there for the money. For breakfast, a lot of people gather at one time, crowding because... there are old people, there is no more free space organized around the racks. Very short time for breakfast, lunch and dinner, sometimes you don’t have time with the procedures. The toilet in the room was wobbly (room 414), there was no air conditioning. The linen in the room could be changed at will and the quality of washing could be improved: there are unwashed stains and the smell of sweat, there is a shortage of towels/robes. The pool is only open from 15.00 on weekdays and from 11.00 on weekends, we hoped that SPA could be accessed in the morning (at least from 07.00).

We booked a luxury room. We vacationed with small children. So, at the time of arrival, the carpeting was clearly unclean. The mattress smelled like urine, apparently from previous guests. During our 2 weeks of vacation, we cleaned only with a regular vacuum cleaner. As I understand it, the presence of carpet requires cleaning with a washing vacuum cleaner... at least sometimes... the upholstered furniture was also so dirty that it was unpleasant to sit on it, not to mention putting a child to sleep on the sofa.

We vacationed with our daughter (15 years old) from 08/22/16 to 08/29/16. I liked everything very much. A magnificent, cozy town, surrounded by greenery. Very welcoming and friendly staff of the resort. Dietary meals: buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner - choose dishes from the proposed menu. Every day there were fruits for breakfast: bananas, or oranges, or peaches, etc. The food was delicious, only the portions of main courses and side dishes for lunch and dinner were somewhat small (not enough for a teenager). The price of the tour included 35 medical procedures, 1 doctor’s examination and a drinking course. My daughter and I did not have any specific diagnoses; rather, we went for preventive purposes. Every day we had the following procedures: therapeutic baths (various), magnetic therapy, massage or aquamassage, mud treatments (various), exercise therapy or gym, herbal medicine, audiovisual relaxation. All treatment procedures are prescribed by the doctor at the first examination, depending on the diagnosis. Therefore, before going to the sanatorium, I advise you to make a list of your ailments that you want to treat, and even better, get examined by doctors of the appropriate profile, take tests, ECG, etc. The procedures took place until 15.00, and at 16.00 we went to the pool with our daughter. Swimming in the pool for 60 minutes (you can use the jacuzzi and 2 steam rooms at the same time, everything is included in the price of the tour). We only had free time after dinner. Therefore, for those who like to spend their holidays in a horizontal position, sanatoriums are contraindicated (they have to run around a lot for various procedures, at different times and sometimes to different buildings of the sanatorium). There are two supermarkets in the town, Iki and Maxima, where you can buy all the essentials (both within walking distance). Shopping lovers will have nothing to do in the town (the choice is very small and the prices are steep). Entertainment: a water park, singing fountains, cable cars, bicycle rental, etc., and magnificent nature (we were lucky the weather was good).Negatives

Most procedures are for an additional fee! Of the 12 required massages, 3 were not delivered. If mud is contraindicated, they are not replaced with other procedures, but you simply won’t get it! Towels are changed every 5 days! You need to take it with you to the baths and pool! With paraffin, you will receive a sheet and a bag. And all your days you will lie on this filthy sheet. And with electromud treatment, in addition to the sheet, they give you two more squares of medical oilcloth, which will also be yours for the entire duration of treatment. Nothing disposable, saving on everything! A scoop is a scoop, it doesn’t even smell like Europe!

Sometimes the menu also included eggplants, which turned out to be just zucchini) The buffet is original in that at the end there is a woman serving, who needs to be told what you want to take, and she puts the order on your plate. Apparently, this is a semi-buffet)) Conclusion: the food system is built like in an ordinary Belarusian sanatorium.

The renovation on the 10th floor was done in bad faith, the whole thing is a blunder. I don’t think it’s appropriate to install bathtubs in rooms where the musculoskeletal profile of the sanatorium is much more convenient than a shower. I would highly recommend that the management of the sanatorium pay attention to customer service at the reception desk in the pool, is it really so difficult to install a number system so that people sit and wait for their number to light up, and not crowd around the counter, creating inconvenience for themselves, and especially for the receptionist. Close to the city center (even though the town is small, it is pleasant to walk around and the walk around the lake is pure pleasure). Perhaps there is no particular negative, but I will note the extreme workload of the doctors, which is why even the first examination is superficial (in my case there was practically none: they measured my blood pressure and looked at the documents I brought - tomography, ultrasound and blood tests). But at the same time, the doctor was attentive to my complaints about fluid retention after the first days of drinking water, changed the water and adjusted the set of procedures. The old medical building requires renovation (the contrast is especially striking compared to the modern swimming pool building). The coffee and cocoa at breakfast are terrible, but you can get excellent coffee from the local cafe, which also has a coffee machine on the ground floor of the 10-story building. True, I mostly made my own coffee - I had an electric kettle in my room.
