Very nice place with exceptionally beautiful architecture. Narrow valley, spa area along the river, hiking trails higher up. Very, very, many tour groups in buses as day tourists, or as short visitors to the city, even in February. We were in Carlsbad last summer and we'll never do that again. Tourists push their way through the streets like they are at a fair.
