I have been coming to Imperial since 2014 and knew what to expect from my stay there. Everything suited me and I was not going to change this sanatorium for another. But on this visit, “Imperial” disappointed.Negatives
The sanatorium now resembles an ordinary cheap hotel with the appropriate contingent. Firstly, those procedures for which I came to Imperial for many years, and thanks to which Imperial was different from other places, were gone. Secondly, the previous doctors and other specialists left the sanatorium and did not return, and some new ones need to reach the previous level of the sanatorium. Thirdly, the staff did not fight in any way with people who smoked in the rooms and the smell of tobacco was not only in the common corridors, but also in my room. I went up to the reception three times and talked about it, they shrugged their shoulders: what can we do? A fine is a good helper in dealing with such a situation. The food was the same every day, without much choice. Just before I left, they surprised me with a delicious, varied dinner. I hope that the management of “Imperial” has enough knowledge, experience, desire and opportunity so that the sanatorium “Imperial” returns to its previous standard and does not disappoint its regular customers, who have the opportunity to compare what was and what has become.Answer from Spa Hotel Imperial

Hotel Imperial has different rooms. Unfortunately I got a single room on floor 6, with a small window, no balcony, completely different from the photo when I made the reservation. But it was booked with a balcony. I got a double room with a balcony for 2 weeks. Room was small, no space for a sofa, as in the photo on Sanatoriums.com. Recommendation: honest photo of the room! All procedures in one sanatorium. Nice pool! There are 2 Jacuzzis (1 often didn’t work). Steam room with naked people, not for me! 3 years ago it was better! We were greeted with a smile! Now there are no emotions and they didn’t even really explain where, what and how. Well, this is not the first time! The food is 50% over-salted, although the chefs are different! How is that possible? Before, there was a huge choice , and they didn’t allow this! Very expensive parking! We bought it for 2 weeks, went for a ride on Friday, in the evening the Germans filled it all up for the weekend! No place to put it! More parking spaces sold than available! We had to throw it crookedly as best we could! The main thing is to take the money! There is never a security guard! Jacuzzi depends on your luck, there are couples or elderly women who climb in for an hour and you have to brazenly climb up to them and let them know that they are not the only ones relaxing here! The treatments, especially the massages, were just enough that you couldn't complain because what was ordered was done. Unfortunately, the way it was done was inadequate in 2/3. One got the impression that the therapist had no desire or no idea or both. With inhalation therapy you were given a plastic cup - like the one available in every pharmacy - with a little salt water. I expected more in a 5 star spa clinic. The language barrier was also a big drawback. Even the doctor didn't speak German or English well enough. But fluent in Russian. In an international 5 star hotel, which is supposedly designed for German spa guests, I found this very poor.Positives

We got a room upgrade - on the 6th floor, very quiet, with a very nice view and lots of space. Check in was very quick and the staff was very friendly, all questions were answered and all information was provided. The hotel is very nice and large, the food is very good (something new every day). Staff in the restaurant very helpful and friendly. Own water source directly connected to the hotel. We have an anti-stress program with 4 applications. They were more simple applications for relaxation. Upon request, the head massage was swapped for a back massage - totally unproblematic and very friendly!! It was a very nice and relaxing 5 days at the Hotel Imperial and we would love to come back!Negatives
