There are few minuses,,, the staff is too intrusive in offering a turndown service,,, it’s like that and there’s no point at all,,, but they burst into the room under this pretext too persistently,,, they do this every day,,, this is unnecessary and it’s incomprehensible,, for a 5-star hotel, such a violation of privacy looks strange,,, one minus: in the dining room, the assortment of food seems to be well prepared... but the food has absolutely no taste.... The cleaning in the room was not of high quality; the dust on the table was not wiped for a week, although the husband left a tip every day. The bathroom was also very mediocrely cleaned. At the medical center, it was noticed twice that they did not change the disposable sheet before the procedure. When asked to change the sheets, the staff pretended that they forgot... although they got the impression that this was the norm for them. Please note that there are also very conscientious employees! The food in the restaurant is varied, but I would like more for children. Lots of sauces, gravy, fatty meats... we don’t even eat this at home, but here is a healthy eating sanatorium. The shower head in the bathroom is attached across and does not have a holder. You need to wash with one hand, pouring water over the entire bathroom. There is no curtain in the bathroom. We came with our own curtain, having read reviews from previous hotel guests.

A stunningly majestic building. Wide choice of procedures. Competent doctor. Nice nurses. Very clean. Great location. Walking to the springs was easy. It takes five minutes to go downstairs. Return - 15, or by cable car. If you were really lazy, you drank the water supplied to the sanatorium. Paid drinks for lunch didn't disappoint. You can always afford 60 CZK for a cup of tea, and reducing the amount of coffee has a positive effect on your complexion :)Negatives
I expected a little more from food in a five-star hotel. The waiters were not amazingly polite. The lack of air conditioning in the room was a slight nuisance. The walls in the residential corridors are completely bare; I wanted at least minimal decoration.

This is my second time staying at this hotel. As they say, good things don’t look for good and I didn’t look because I was satisfied with my first visit to the hotel. The plane was delayed and I was late for dinner, but the hotel offered a welcome drink and dinner in the Paris restaurant, which is an additional option (if you want to eat in Paris, an additional payment of 45 euros per day), but in this case was included in the total price. I'm glad that we switched from eating according to the diet menu to the buffet. There is no longer any need to wander around the cafes of Karlovy Vary in search of variety. The single room I was given was very cozy with a huge bathroom. They cleaned it twice a day and put a chocolate candy on the pillow for tea. A small thing, but nice. Since I had my own teapot, I didn’t notice the disadvantages of paid tea for lunch and dinner. The treatment was prescribed taking into account my wishes and it turned out to be effective and, along with a pleasant pastime (there were classes in the pool every day), many thanks to my attending physician for this. Every weekend I took excursions to Germany, which I was very pleased with. Holidays in the Czech Republic are cheaper than in Germany and the tours organized by Czech travel agencies are not expensive, but at the same time they are thorough, time-bound and interesting.Negatives
There was only one downside - the boorish behavior of one of the employees during the Parafango procedure. I complained about her at the SPA reception, but they refused to accept the complaint in writing, so to speak, they listened to me in words, promising that she would not serve me anymore, a promise they kept. The rest of the staff pleased me with their professionalism, friendliness and precision of work.

The work of some nurses resembles serving a difficult duty. This is clearly noticeable when, for example, Charcot’s shower is done by different sisters on different days. To the point where the difference in time can be very significant. The hotel has NO information about all procedures. That is, maybe it exists, but not everyone knows how to find it. Why not make this information more accessible? There are no shelves in the men's locker room showers at the pool. If a person comes with his own soap or shampoo, where should he put it? Strange behavior of the staff appeared at one point. Some Chinese appeared and some of them began to come to the restaurant for dinner in outerwear. And they were allowed in. Moreover, they helped themselves to food without taking off their outer clothing. The women at the entrance reacted to our indignation in a inhibited and amorphous manner (“what can we do...”). I don’t know what helped, whether we (including me) showed them what it was..., or the director woke up... I don’t know, but it stopped. True, the Chinese also disappeared, maybe they just went on to dine wearing gloves.

Spacious rooms, wide corridors, food at the highest level, I liked almost all the procedures that were prescribed to me (except for the massage, she stroked my back for 10 minutes, that’s all the massage) after the first massage I turned to my doctor (wonderful, responsive madam) and exchanged the massage for other procedures. In general, I did not notice any negativity from the staff of the sanatorium, although some Russian-speaking vacationers spoke about the staff. I booked a single room, it was small in size, there was a single bed. I asked to be moved to a larger room, they moved me to a beautiful, huge double room, and they didn’t charge any additional payment. Thank you very much. The food is beyond praise, such a varied and tasty preparation - not every restaurant can boast of this. I took an excursion to Prague from the hotel and was pleased. There is a so-called night club in the hotel, but it’s more of a bar, quite pleasant, where people drink, chat, there are also live concerts (jazz, etc.) admission is free. Towels were changed every day. I was completely satisfied with my vacation. The Imperial is simply beautiful.Negatives
The pillows in the room are not very comfortable. Yes, I used a transfer from the sanatoriums. Upon arrival, they met me with a sign, but I refused to go, because the driver was waiting for two more passengers and could not confirm the departure time, he warned me that we would first go to Marianske Lazne and only then to Karlovy Vary, this did not suit me, I bought a bus ticket and left on my own. The transfer from the sanatorium to the airport (I also ordered from sanatoriums) suited me quite well, they came to pick me up at the specified time and did not stop at other cities.

We rested at the sanatorium for two weeks at the end of November. Before this we chose other sanatoriums. I was scared by the distance from the center. But it turned out that everything was very convenient and thought out. There was a funicular railway, we used the city bus for free. We really liked everything. It's great that you don't have to go to the Colonada to drink water in the morning. Imperial has its own source. Competent medical staff, attentive technical staff, eliminate inconveniences very quickly. I liked the procedures, especially the massage. It is very convenient that the procedures end before lunch, the second half of the day is at your disposal. A varied selection of dishes in the canteen.
