And the next day we had lunch at the Pirosmani restaurant with authentic Georgian Kinzmariuli - red wine, which my wife loves and Stalin loved in his time. For the hostess and friendly visitors, I made two toasts to the health of the 70-year-old hostess, who offered her homemade grape Chacha in real clay glasses. All this delight with a reservation and transfer in a 5-seater Mercedes van was carried out by the front desk officer Andre and the excellent driver Thomas from the Sanatorium Auto Park . Please recognize them and reward them for their wonderful work and kind attitude towards visitors to the Imperial Spa Hotel. We propose to introduce such a service for visits to the Pirosmani restaurant and the U Shvejka Restaurant, which was also thanks to Andre in making the reservation for us. As an honored employee of the hotel and restaurant industry in Russia and the USA, I consider it appropriate to appoint Andre to the position of Hotel Concierge with a recommendation in the Euro Club Conserge Association. I was able to eat practically nothing but porridge almost until the day of departure, and almost all the time (except for procedures) I lay in bed in my room . During the conversation, I learned that two days earlier before my poisoning, another vacationer was poisoned, also after eating, but everything went faster for him than for me and he recovered faster. When talking with the restaurant staff, I realized that there were other cases. Never before have I gotten food poisoning at a resort or in a hotel. The hotel management did not take any action to alleviate my condition. I didn’t even receive free water, which I really needed at that moment. They simply shrugged their shoulders and that was it. For me this was an advantage, because the hotel is located in a quiet place, and I went for a walk every day and did not gain weight, despite the fact that I did not restrict myself in nutrition. I would also like to note the hotel's cuisine, delicious breakfast (Belgian waffles, fresh yogurt, soft cheese, etc.), for dinner there was a good selection of vegetables, snacks, meat dishes and even chocolate fondue. The procedures are standard as everywhere else. This hotel is clearly overpriced. Off the top of my head it deserves 3-4 stars and half the price. Since we come to Karlovy Vary 3-4 times a year to different hotels, we have something to compare with. CONCLUSION: The hotel is neither bad nor good, just average. There are a lot of such hotels and it is absolutely not worth overpaying for the Imperial. I have no desire to come to this hotel again. Moreover, there are hotels in the center with a lower price and better service and accommodation.
