We vacationed together at the Sanssouci sanatorium for the first time. In general, I had positive impressions from my stay at the sanatorium. In a double room in the Green House building: comfortable beds (which is important for a sick spine), separate toilet and bathroom, a loggia and a beautiful view from the window. Regular cleaning, replacement of bed linen, towels and timely replenishment of detergents. The food is varied, you can always choose according to your taste (the advantage of the 3-course buffet), but as in many sanatoriums, there are tasty and not tasty dishes. The treatment gives me an ambivalent impression: most of the procedures are pleasant and relaxing, but at the same time there remains a feeling of a conveyor belt and a formal attitude towards vacationers. Perhaps this is due to the heavy workload on the medical staff? I really liked the techniques of the qualified and experienced doctor of the sanatorium, Alexander Mikhailovsky. Friendly, tactful questions and the same answers to all our questions, and at the end - assignments, taking into account our wishes, and useful recommendations. The sanatorium is located 20 min. walk from the sources. We even enjoyed walking, if a break between procedures and food allowed. In addition, a big plus is free travel around the city for clients of the sanatorium on the 2nd bus. Before breakfast, it was possible to take the same bus to the Geyser - there and back. Once in 14 days of treatment I was late for the “Dry carbon dioxide bath” procedure because it was 20 minutes late. waiting in line for the previous “Pneumopuncture” procedure in the Blue House building. Therefore, the procedure was shortened for me while I was late. Obviously, it is necessary to increase the throughput of pneumopuncture rooms (but not at the expense of quality). The “Pneumopuncture” and “Salt Cave” procedures in the sanatorium did not give the desired result (in comparison with two other sanatoriums in the Czech Republic). Obviously it is necessary to improve their quality (perhaps increase the portions of gas or add salt). The Melody restaurant often displayed dishes without a name or indication of their composition. Dairy products and drinks were usually offered ice-cold (very cold), apparently straight from the refrigerator. The room in the Green House building lacks a door between the bedroom and the hallway, as well as a wall clock. In the bathroom, it is advisable to replace the traumatic glass screen with a regular bath curtain. Despite questions to the staff about the principle of operation of the heated towel rail in the bathroom, it remained unclear to us: it either warmed up or not. Unfortunately, we did not like the formal and unfriendly attitude of the staff at the reception in the Green House building. We often encountered misunderstandings on the part of the sanatorium staff due to poor knowledge of the Russian language. The time to drink water, as recommended from the source, was only before dinner. The equipment in the sanatorium is old, the bathtubs are simply ridiculous in size, especially for underwater massage. I am 176 tall and I had to sit in the bathtub to massage my back, and if you are taller, I don’t know how to massage in such bathrooms. Mineral water is not used in water procedures at all!!! For a carbon dioxide bath, everyone lies for 15 minutes, separated by curtains. This is my first and last visit to Karlovy Vary. I don’t understand at all why people rush there. I have been to Essentuki, Pyatigorsk, Kislovodsk many times - there is simply no comparison. Everyone compares food supposedly better in the Czech Republic. Comrades with sick stomachs, in Russia you were fed correctly - no pickles are needed for ulcer sufferers. The attitude in our sanatoriums is better and there really is a complete, relaxing holiday. And Karlovy Vary has a big market and some mineral water. And it’s also good if they choose it for you correctly. The water was chosen incorrectly for me and all treatment ended with injections to relieve spasms. The price of the tour does not correspond to the quality.
