During the holidays the hotel was fully booked but was not prepared for the demand. Many applications were not available, with the excuse that there was no space left. We would have to take the one that is still free: sauna and swimming. The sauna was already overcrowded with 7 people and is extremely modest in relation to the size of the hotel. The swimming pool was often free, but this was due to the water temperature being significantly too low. The thermometer always showed 29 degrees, but that was definitely not the truth. The food in the restaurant was particularly negative. It was always not about what we ate, but how. Everything was only available on demand, if you have plates, the salad bar is empty, if there is salad there is no more salad dressing. People were often forced to eat cake with the fork in front of it, which was already used for fish, for example. The thermos flasks were in a catastrophic condition or even broken. Sometimes the nose was missing, sometimes the handle, sometimes bent and never anything inside. After frequent requests, there were sometimes 4 pots on the table, but not from the kitchen, but brought to us by the staff from the neighboring tables, where there was nothing in them. The meal on New Year's Eve for non-hotel guests was grossly overpriced at €70 and there was clearly not enough food served and it was so disorganized. All the guests were just annoyed, but after our communication with the boss, it was clear to me that it was usual here . The gentleman was not at all willing to listen to our criticism, even though it is stated everywhere that the opinions of the guests are very important. Unfortunately I couldn't find out the older man's name, but I was fascinated by how much he didn't care about the well-being of his guests. He said he won't change anything because he assumes he'll have enough guests next year. I'm annoyed that older people aren't tech savvy enough to read reviews of other hotels and may actually book Hotel Krivan again, assuming the service is standard. We, 15 people, have been to Karlovy Vary for the 4th time now, but will definitely never come to the Hotel Krivan again.

The downside is the return transfer. We were driven around the Czech Republic and Germany for more than 9 hours. We were very tired.

I was in this sanatorium in the second half of December 2019, just in time for Christmas. The staff is very friendly and always accommodates your wishes whenever possible. When I checked in, I didn’t like the room, they replaced it with another one without any problems. The shower in the room did not work very well, I asked to fix the problem, and everything was resolved right away. The staff works efficiently, well done. Procedures are prescribed taking into account your wishes, and if necessary, one procedure is replaced by another. The food was ok. I heard complaints from some that they were not satisfied with the food. People, ah! You didn’t come here to overeat, like in Turkish all-inclusive hotels, but to be treated. And then keep in mind that this is a 3* sanatorium, not 5. The price is an issue. I think the treatment, the location, the attitude of the staff are commendable. Thanks to Dr. Marketa Spisakova. The reception was conducted carefully, not for show. Made the necessary appointments. Special thanks to all the kitchen staff and management for Christmas dinner. In general, in Karlovy Vary the air and water itself have their magical healing effect. And, of course, thanks to the sanatoriums. com for clear organization from the moment of meeting until departure. And about an excursion to Prague as a gift from the company. Everything is clear and without deception, as some write. You just need to schedule it by contacting the staff of the sanatoriums at the Pavlov Hotel. Thanks again to everyone for the rest and treatment.

I would like more variety of dishes in the dining room. The behavior of the attending physician Vera CNLUPOVA at the first appointment, routine questions, is no good. She didn’t even measure her blood pressure. When she came back again, she rudely kicked her out of the office. After talking with her, her blood pressure rose to a critical level, she didn’t provide any help. Thanks to the nurses, they pumped me out. Shame on such doctors. She probably wanted a present...

A wonderful resort with a great location! Clean and comfortable rooms. Every day cleaning, clean towels and bed linen. Spacious double room. The food is excellent. We never left hungry. Very tasty breakfasts and dinners (without lunch). The staff in the restaurant is always pleasant, smiling, cheerful and very smart. Location in the very center, close to shops, museums, post office, bars and cafes. A pleasant combination of architectural city and nature. The observation decks are half an hour on foot. Drinking colonnades are literally a 2-minute walk. All the staff speaks a little Russian. And in principle, the entire center chatters in Russian. I really didn't like the massage. They don’t really know how to do it, or they just stroke for 20 minutes or knead the butt for 20 minutes. Of all the procedures, the only negative thing is massage. Out of 3-4 times, I was only able to relax once, but I didn’t go to this masseuse again.

11 times I have been treated in your sanatorium - this is a positive assessment of my choice for all the indicated indicators, except for “accommodation”, because... during the summer stay, accommodation in the first building turns out to be difficult. I think it is advisable and justified for elderly people and those with musculoskeletal diseases to take into account the physical impossibility of walking up stairs and guarantee such clients accommodation in the first building. I hope that on my 12th visit in March 2020 to your sanatorium, I will receive this bonus: accommodation in the first building (I am 70 years old and both knee joints are in the stage of destruction (gonarthrosis), I will present an extract from the hospital. Thank you for your understanding.

Heating failed; The shower had a leak when we moved into the room, the bathroom was a "swimming pool". The curtain rod rustled around our ears the first time we carefully touched it. The heater in the second room was leaking. The food was plentiful and (enough) good. From a healthy eating perspective, it could still be improved.

There is no service as such. The food is of poor quality, monotonous, bad timing, the restaurant closes prematurely (30 minutes earlier than expected). Linen in the rooms is changed once a week, towels are provided upon request. The room is very small, the beds are terribly uncomfortable and extremely small. There are a large number of people undergoing medical procedures, and there is not enough medical staff.

The food is monotonous - buckwheat, rice, pasta. And so on in a circle. During the excursion to Prague, we were given a meager ration: a couple of rolls and pate, a bottle of water. Upon returning from Prague, we went into the canteen to drink kefir, the canteen worker stopped us and indignantly said that we had been given rations and we could not claim dinner.

I can only express my gratitude to the entire team of the Krivan sanatorium. Everything works harmoniously. Starting from the team at the reception and ending with the maids, you get only positive things. They greet guests warmly, politely, and very attentively. The first appointment with a nurse - again you are met with understanding and sensitivity. And the doctor, Mrs. Sofia, is a professional. All the staff who carry out the doctor’s orders are all attentive, they do their job not automatically, but with their hearts, as they say, they put their souls into it. The cuisine is excellent, thanks to the chefs. And the girls and boys waiters are simply wonderful, they provide excellent service. The rooms are clean, cozy, comfortable furniture. There is nothing to complain about. If I have the opportunity to go to Karlovy Vary again (as they say, all the stars will align), I will try to get to “Krivan” and I advise others, I don’t think you will regret your choice.
