What pleased me most was the excellent location of the hotel and its proximity to the springs. We were lucky with the room - big enough, with a refrigerator and kettle. Nice bathroom with a comfortable shower. I liked the pool with various water treatments. The city itself is magnificent, the mountains, forest, and river create a special healing air. A rare combination of European beauty and wonderful nature. For me, Karlovy Vary became a vacation spot, which outweighed the shortcomings, which are discussed below. But first, I note that the generalized characteristic could be different if in the left column there were such ratings as “average level”, “satisfactory”, etc. In its present form, it turns out that out of five ratings only one is negative. It is clear that few people will use it, simply because of the feeling of inconvenience. But this is the imposition of an opinion. I sincerely wish the management of the sanatorium to take into account the shortcomings and not focus only on the large number of visitors. You need to think about quality and modern approaches to sanatorium services first of all.Negatives
I was unpleasantly surprised by the doctor (Roman), who was unable to really find out anything about the state of my health, and did not even measure my blood pressure. I especially regretted this because it later turned out that this primitive service costs 50 crowns. Which is nonsense for a sanatorium. They should write about this on the website and then all hypertensive patients would take blood pressure monitors with them. Regarding the selection of mineral water, the advice was very rough. I acted by trial and error. And it was impossible to consult again, because... the doctor went on vacation. The rooms were cleaned very poorly, and the bed linen was never changed during the 11 days of our stay. I was amazed at the more than average level of nutrition. Even for breakfast there was no traditional yoghurt or omelettes, and porridge (the main sanatorium dish) was inedible.

Everything is good. The treatment is good, but there are problems. For disabled people in wheelchairs. Although they write that there is equipment for the disabled. It’s not possible to get to the procedures. There are steps all around. The rooms are bad, single-occupancy, you can’t get to the toilet. Well, the rest of the staff is good, polite. Everything is excellent in the mess hall. Food good choice, large. Wheelchair users have nothing to do there; there are problems going out into the street; you have to ask the doorman to open the door. Please everyone

Didn't like: 1.Very cold in the pool.. 2.Morning procedures. In my opinion, for people on vacation, procedures at 6.40 am are too early. On vacation I want to sleep longer... But otherwise everything is fine.

A sanatorium at the level of Soviet times: in the rooms (although the room is quite spacious) the renovation is clearly not new and cheaply primitive - whitewash and old wooden panels on the walls, and carpet on the floor - for people with pulmonary problems and allergies this is unacceptable!!! But this is a sanatorium - this is a medical institution! I took anti-allergic drugs throughout my stay. At the same time, the cleaning of the rooms was carried out irregularly and haphazardly. The doctor is at the level of a paramedic, and even a poor one. There is not enough space to describe in detail. He has a museum-type tonometer on his table, but he doesn’t use it either. Everything is outdated, including the medical base. There is no question of a diet, indicating its number required for a specific disease! The food is common to everyone, primitive and tasteless (at best)! But on the website the main profile of the sanatorium is gastrointestinal! In general, you can list the disadvantages for a long time, it’s better to choose another sanatorium or hotel. After all, Karlovy Vary is a wonderful place, especially if you’re lucky with a hotel!

Improve the qualifications of the attending physician, show somewhere what the main procedures are and how many are included in the list of payments, mainly they gave a swimming pool, a salt mine and paraffin for hands (other procedures are already scheduled all the time). Classic back massage - 12 minutes including undressing???, you need to massage, not stroke. Saturday is not a working day. In other sanatoriums they are open until lunch. It turned out that out of 14 days there were only 8 days for the procedures.

There were problems with prescribing procedures, the doctor was very inattentive, she simply formally prescribed what was left, but what was left was a swimming pool, an inhaler to breathe and two procedures to heat with electric current, my requests for baths and other procedures were rudely refused and it was suggested that I go to another doctor. The head doctor did not want to hear anything at all and redo her work, after much lamentation he prescribed one mud bath, but they were not available, all the time had already been scheduled, so all treatment was limited to a cold pool and drinking water. I didn’t go to the doctor again and no one noticed it, everything was very formal there. The big one came back with a cough and snot.Negatives

I liked the sanatorium! I would like to express my gratitude to the canteen administrators, waiters, cooks and everyone involved in catering! I am a raw foodist, and when I was traveling, I was afraid that I would have problems with nutrition. But I was pleasantly surprised by the individual approach and attention! Thank you! I was also pleased with the medical service. Good base, friendly staff! The towels in the room were changed every other day, the bed was changed 4 times during the 16 days of our stay! Thank you! But the robes were changed once, and then only after we contacted the reception. The very early daily cleaning was just annoying. It was like that. At about 8 am, 4 maids knocked on the door, talking loudly to each other, burst into a small room, squeezing you out of the space, in 3 minutes they sort of cleared out and moved on. The dust on the bedside tables was not wiped off, they vacuumed only for show, they didn’t even look under the beds! This is a minus! Overall, I really liked Krivan! I'll definitely come next year!

It was a little inconvenient if the procedures are from 12.30 and lunch is at 12.00. Sometimes the dining room opened later than 12.00 and you just don’t always have time to eat.. If this issue can be resolved somehow, we will be grateful to you. I have nothing against the fact that you can come later for lunch after the procedure .but 3 times I experienced either salty Peter’s or oxygen breathing right after lunch. The work in the kitchen as a whole was impeccable. And a small minus: on the stairs all the flowers are in a cobweb.

The hotel is large, 176 rooms, very noisy on the ground floor: vacationers go for treatments, to the dining room, leave and come in, and even tourist groups from the street are served in this hotel at lunchtime. The quality of food leaves much to be desired. There aren’t even enough buns for breakfast if you have a procedure and come in the middle of breakfast. The food items eaten are replenished reluctantly, they skimp on everything, and the waiters are overworked. Of the stated 20 procedures per week, you can easily leave 15-17. But the head physician is a completely separate issue. In response to my request to replace some baths with others, even cheaper, I listened to a tirade about the Gulag and Stalin, so that the desire to come to this hotel again disappeared by itself. Anyone who wants extreme sports is welcome!

We asked you in advance and immediately after booking to accommodate 6 of us on one floor. However, despite your answer about a positive solution to this issue, grandmother Fenzel (87 years old) was placed in a single room, but at the same time she had to first climb 25 steps and then an elevator. With a big fight, justice won or the conscience of the Reception workers woke up. Garage spaces were reserved for two cars on the ground or basement floor. Again it didn’t work out. The workers shrug their shoulders, saying that the Sanatorium doesn’t tell us about this order to the Sanatorium workers. Krivan did not report anything, but wrote you a positive answer. A male employee who issues bills to clients has a disgraceful attitude towards his work and in response to my remark that instead of the procedure “Limphedrenage” he writes the word Limfo, etc. In the invoice I asked to indicate only those procedures that were indicated in the prescriptions of my family doctor from Germany (my wife’s prescriptions were attached to this employee, however, he told me: “that he would not issue such an invoice! The end result is that I have these invoices in The AOK of Bavaria was not accepted at all, because in addition to my procedures, there were also written down three other procedures accepted by me and my wife, which were not listed in my prescriptions.
