Very friendly, helpful staff, good doctor Tatyana Krotova, excellent location of the sanatorium.Negatives
I didn’t like the food, we sat in the hall below on the right (terrace) and often had to go to other halls to get food because ours was empty.Positives
The sanatorium was very well equipped with modern medical appliances, and benefited from a central location in the town. It was a short walk to the water fountains, and all the cafes and restaurants. The number of the medical treatments was even more than was promised, I had about 3-4 treatments every day. The food was OK, nothing special but enough variety. The medical and hotel staff was very polite and friendly, they made me feel welcome. The room was extremely large, and very clean and light. Everybody speaks Russian or English.Negatives
Sometimes the food was not very fresh, but otherwise everything was fine.Positives
I liked everything very much. The staff was polite and helpful. No complaints. I received all the expected procedures. The timing of the procedures was chosen as conveniently as possible. The location of the hotel is close to the springs, which also plays an important role if you have problems with the musculoskeletal system. I also liked the menu and the ability to choose dishes. I was satisfied. Thank you very much.Negatives
There is no negativity, I didn’t experience any dissatisfaction during my entire stay.Positives
I liked the location of the hotel and its exterior. Pleasant staff at the reception desk, friendly health workers during the procedures of gas injections, endovaco, and electrical procedures. Good service from the waiters in the restaurant hall. Gas injections are very effective. In general, my health improved noticeably after them.Negatives
Monotonous food. There were products of inadequate and not fresh quality; once there was very severe stomach poisoning. Not enough procedures (three in total per day of stay), the rest are for an additional fee. There are no treatments on weekends, which was very disappointing. During some procedures the staff was unfriendly. The pool can be visited for a fee, and it is not at all large enough for so many people. During group classes in the pool there is absolutely no place to fall - there are so many people. Very poor WI-FI signal, even in the lobby area. Well, there is no signal in the rooms at all. From the above, I have the following wishes: Please review the number of incoming free procedures, organize strict control over the quality of products in the approach to catering in a restaurant, provide unhindered high-speed Internet not only in the lobby bar area, but also in the rooms. Well, work with the staff on the subject of the correct - friendly attitude towards customers.Positives
This is a full-fledged sanatorium.Negatives
I would like to have a discount on the price as a regular visitor to your resort. For example, my wife has already stayed with you several times. Or we could have stayed in another hotel. And the discount in price will attract.Positives
The overall impression of visiting the Krivan sanatorium is very good. The staff of the sanatorium is distinguished by its professionalism and attention to guests. The food is good with a sufficient range of dishes. The sanitation is at the proper level and that's impressive. In the future, I would like to come again for treatment and rest at this sanatorium. All the best !Positives
I rested in this sanatorium in November 16. The sanatorium is located in a very good location, near the snake spring, not far from other springs along the route through the historical center of Karlovy Vary. Externally, it is a very nice building with exquisite architecture - all this creates an indelible impression of being there. The interior of the complex, although somewhat old-fashioned and in need of more modern reconstruction, overall creates a very pleasant impression. You can stay quite comfortably in the fairly spacious, although unpretentious, rooms. In any case, everything you need for living and recreation is there. Cleaning is done frequently, linen and gowns are changed promptly. Treatment is provided for three procedures per day, and a printout with a schedule of procedures for the entire treatment period is immediately issued. The list of procedures is quite varied, the attending doctor takes into account the wishes and diagnosis of the client. The restaurant has a lot of vegetable salads, for lunch and dinner - main dishes are made to order. Very nice waitresses, especially Svetochka. During the procedures there were friendly staff, especially at endo-vaco, pneumopuncture, in room 19. Dr. Mrs. Kovaleva pleased me with her humane attitude. God bless her. Special thanks to the reception staff, and especially to the colleague who helps with check-in and luggage delivery... It’s a shame that I didn’t recognize his last name then.Negatives
I didn’t like the absolute monotony of the diet. In a restaurant kitchen, as I understand it, waste-free production - everything that was not eaten the previous day can be seen in the next day's side dishes. (Fish smoothly turns into fish paste, and meat into minced meat, etc.) Salads are not thrown away, and replenish (lay on top) with fresh layers. Hence they look like a layer cake... Unsanitary conditions, alas, are present as a fact, I state this absolutely responsibly, since there are cases of severe poisoning. The main courses don’t happen every once in a while - sometimes they taste normal, and sometimes they are of terrible quality... Alas, the euphoria from the abundance of vegetable salads quickly ended when all the described points surfaced... Regarding the treatment. As I already said, only three procedures are designed for a patient for each day of stay... This is incomparably small, in my opinion, when compared with other sanatoriums. It was also very disappointing that there are no procedures on Saturday and Sunday. In this regard, the administration of the sanatorium does not care at all about the quality and consistency of treatment, minimizing the cost to the institution of paying staff on weekends. The attitude of the staff at some procedures is purely formal. . The employee who worked on vacuum and manual massage left a very unpleasant impression. Unfriendly, with a disdainful attitude towards Russian-speaking people, and, as I understand it, towards women in general, - at the same time - very kindness towards Germans, and especially men. The corresponding associations involuntarily come to mind... I can say the same about nurse Petra, who may well slam the door in her face, openly being rude from the start just because she was “disturbed” with a question while on duty on Saturday. (I understand that being on duty is not a working day for her). To measure your blood pressure, don’t come up at all, be prepared that, to put it mildly, they will send you away, or if they measure you, it will be so that the second time you are more likely to have a hypertensive crisis than come to measure your blood pressure. I advise those with hypertension to take their own device with them. In general, veiled neglect was sometimes encountered both by the male employee at the reception in the pool and by the vacuum massage therapist. And in general, if you approach some employees with more than one question, you will immediately notice undisguised irritation and obvious disdain addressed to you. Why aren’t the staff taught HOW to communicate with people, tell me? Is it really so difficult to develop loyalty and goodwill towards customers? And what, excuse me, does an HR manager do? But the most unpleasant thing for me, which can seriously and permanently ruin the mood of many, is the terrible Wi-Fi, which is almost absent even in the lobby near the router!!!! Is it really such a big expense for a hotel to supply the hotel premises with a sufficient amount of necessary equipment? And this, considering that it’s the 21st century! It’s no secret that most people communicate with home, loved ones, work, and society through the Internet. A lot of other very important and sometimes urgent issues are also resolved there! I ask the hotel administration to solve this problem as soon as possible! This is the biggest minus, in my opinion, crossing out all the other advantages of staying there. I wish all employees patience, friendliness and joy from their work, and the administration to come to understand the importance of the human factor in this area and make important management and personnel decisions. I wish you development in this area and all the best!Positives
We rested in this sanatorium 4 times. We like the location of the sanatorium. Going to drink some water is a pleasure. Good quality treatment. A nurse who gives injections. Does her job conscientiously. Good mud wraps. Oxygen therapy for 2 hours. In other sanatoriums for 30 minutes. We are very satisfied with the treatment .so we will come again. Thank you sanatorium. Your service is good. They helped with the documents for the visa.Negatives
The biggest minus is that our doctor Belov quit. And they sent us to a new doctor Koval. As a doctor, she is not experienced. She crossed out everything that Belov prescribed for us and prescribed everything of her own. And so she did it all awkwardly. She changed the sources. And my wife felt nauseous for the first few days. We started drinking the water prescribed by Belov. She prescribed a lot of procedures, but everything was 2p. Is this treatment? We had to buy procedures. The package included tests. She didn’t prescribe it for us. We insisted that they prescribe it for us. She yelled at us. I have problems with my heart. And I was prescribed peat. I felt bad, I warned the doctor about this. Belov prescribed me Parafango and I had no problems. I think that the doctor at the sanatorium should be well prepared and not make mistakes. .Positives
proximity to mineral water sources, walks through the forest and mountains, large selection and quality of medical procedures.Negatives
monotonous food, old equipment in the room (plumbing, furniture)Positives
Good medical equipment; Large selection of main courses in the dining room; Convenient locationPositives
very attentive and responsive staff, managers (Mr. Eva), highly qualified: well done, thank you.Negatives
Be more careful when prescribing procedures after testingPositives
compared to 2014 The quality of food has improved significantly and the menu has become more varied. Thank you to your company for a quality transfer.Negatives
I didn’t like the fact that they gave gas injections to a poorly trained nurse.Positives
Liked everything!!! The atmosphere is like home. Very kind staff.Negatives
Hmmm... I don't know, maybe there isn't enough fruit in the cafeteria.Positives
I like the medical facilities of the sanatorium, the courteous, polite staff, the attentive and competent doctor Elena Koval, the presence of a doctor on duty at night. I had severe pain in the heart area at night, my husband and I went to the head nurse’s office, they immediately gave me an electrocardiogram, the doctor immediately deciphered it. When I was at the doctor’s appointment the next day, the manager came up and also examined me. Such sensitive attitude is very touching. I am very grateful to the medical staff. We have already purchased vouchers and on November 17 this year we are going to the Krivan sanatorium for the third time. With respect, Raisa Ivanovna and Yuri Vasilievich Ivanov.Negatives
I didn’t like the dry rations that were given out when going on excursions (in the village of Essenius they always gave me fried chicken breast, and when we returned late from excursions and didn’t have the energy to go somewhere else for dinner, we could take it out of the refrigerator and have dinner.) Please take into account wishes and give out a denser dry ration, rather than water, cookies and waffles - they are not at all worth three meals a day, and especially six meals a day if you are leaving for two days.Positives
We were treated at a sanatorium for 3 weeks in October. This is the second time in this resort. We are very pleased with the treatment and accommodation in a cozy room. The food this year has become more varied and tasty. The rooms are regularly cleaned, bedding and towels are changed. It was possible to change gowns without any problems. In general, we recommend rest and treatment in this sanatorium and hope to come here again next year.Negatives
The appointments for the procedures were not very correct: after the warming bath, 25 minutes later there was a visit to the salt cave, where it was quite cool. And so on for 3 days in a row. As a result, my wife caught a severe cold and for the next 2 days she was unable to take any procedures at all. We had full board. People with half board also ate in the same restaurant. For breakfast (buffet), they filled plates full of everything and took it with them to their rooms; they also managed to come for lunch and have soup. Vacationers with full board, returning from procedures, had to be content with what was left, walk around other rooms with plates in search of food, or wait for the waiters to bring additional food. This should be regulated and people who are on half board should be fed separately, especially since there are enough restaurants in the hotel. I think that this may also affect the price in the future, since there is a large consumption of products. I also felt very sorry for the waitresses. They are so diligent and attentive, but they carry such heavy things in their arms, it’s painful to watch. True, for the last week they were given trays for dirty dishes. Well, at least it's something. Is it really not possible to deliver food on carts? The management does not spare people.Positives
The hotel offers a package, from five to 7 procedures per day, a bit heavy, but everything is not bad, good food, attentive staff at the reception, room cleaning, cleanliness and change of linen and towels are all at the highest level, attentive doctor, procedures only according to indications, well thought out . The location is excellent. I recommend the hotel three stars, clearly worth four. I rested for 24 days and didn’t want to leave.Negatives
The pool is small, I didn’t want to go there, I doubted its cleanliness. It is necessary that the hotel offers not only a package, but a choice: accommodation + purchase of those procedures that I consider necessary, i.e. no more than 3 procedures per day. These are disadvantages in my situation, but in general there are no disadvantages.Positives
It was my first time, so I have nothing to compare with. Overall I liked it.Negatives
I didn’t like the following: the attitude of the nurse during inhalations, the queue for the pneumopuncture procedure, the unfriendly answers of the employee in room 9. These seemed like little things, but they left an unpleasant aftertaste.Positives
Thank you very much to all the treatments, fat pluses for the massage and Charcot’s shower! Gas injections are really effective! A positive result will be 2-3 weeks after the sanatorium, provided that the water is consumed correctly and in a timely manner. Sincere gratitude to you sanatoriums.com! With your help everything is perfect!!!Negatives
Poor menu, expired, unfit for food products. With an open ulcer, they ate according to diet # 2 - this meant no sweets and fruits, otherwise everything was the same as on the other tables. The attitude of the staff in the dining room is like insatiable voracious animals with rare exceptions. The doctor was found to be mentally unhealthy, unbalanced, they learned late that doctors can be changed: laughter for no reason - change the doctor!Positives
good, friendly attitude of the staff, good medical facilitiesPositives
Excellent location of the hotel, helpful staff, the opportunity to purchase everything you need in the hotel itself, including tickets for public transport, tickets to all kinds of concerts and excursions, room amenities that allow you to quietly drink tea or coffee, peace and tranquility inside the hotel in the evening and at night time .Negatives
1. Lack of information that there is wi-fi in the hotel rooms, I found out about this by chance from neighbors, the staff stubbornly claims that it is only on the reception floor - it is very inconvenient to go there for any reason (check your email, etc.) . During the last days of my stay I used it in my room, it works well, at normal speed, I don’t understand why this fact is hidden. 2. Full breakfasts (and lunches and dinners) only for those who came very first, starting from the middle of the stated period it is difficult, sometimes impossible to find some products from the buffet assortment, such as small bars of bread and rolls (only cut pieces remain gray bread), omelettes and some types of side dishes) - it was difficult for me to plan early breakfasts due to the existing schedule of procedures.. I also think it’s wrong that instead of stationary water heaters, as was the case in past years, there are now thermoses with coffee and hot water on the table for tea, but the water is almost always warm (unless, of course, you came to the very discovery)Positives
Nice hotel and staff, good new equipment, excellent location, adequate food, plenty of treatments.Negatives
lack of WI-FINegatives
You have to wait a long time for the ordered menu at lunch and you are late for procedures. The staff in the dining room is not very polite.Positives
The staff at the Krivan sanatorium does a wonderful job. The treatment is organized to the highest standard, everything is very clear and thoughtful. Procedures are prescribed taking into account the condition of the vacationers and their wishes. The specialists are competent, kind, and very friendly. The service staff is equally attentive and responsive to all requests. You feel great in the sanatorium. The sanatorium is located in the very center. It is very convenient to drink water early in the morning and at lunchtime, when there is little time between procedures, and in the evening, when you can take a walk, admire nature, look at vacationers, go to events - everything is nearby, in a beautiful place.Negatives
The “fly in the ointment” in this “barrel of honey” (the Russians have such a saying) is nutrition. The level is like in a student canteen. Apparently the chef is stuck in the distant past. Spoils the whole picture of the sanatorium. Everything is primitive, not tasty. Salads are just grated vegetables, baked goods are just tasteless biscuits. The hot dish menu consists of 12 offers, but everything is prepared the same, there is nothing to choose from, the portions are small. But food costs a lot of money! If it were possible to improve the quality of food, the rating of the sanatorium would be very high!Answer from Spa Hotel Krivan
