We were very pleased with our stay at the English Yard spa hotel in April-May. Once again we are convinced of the reliability and efficiency of the sanatoriums. The hotel fully corresponds to the description and reviews of vacationers. Great location. Friendly staff, including reception (especially Natalia), restaurant workers and room service workers. The food is more dietary, which suited us very much; tea, juices, kefir for lunch and dinner, varied choice of dishes, deliciously prepared. The treatment facilities are modern, procedures are performed in the first half of the day. In the future we plan to choose the same hotel and, of course, through sanatoriums.Negatives

At the last moment, the impression was somewhat spoiled due to the following moment: A taxi was ordered through the hotel reception for a certain time, which arrived at the wrong time, 10 minutes late, which created a hassle since I might not have caught the bus to the airport - the ticket was purchased in advance and the time calculated Natasha indignantly expressed that nothing depends on her and it seems like what do I want from a cheap taxi (120 CZK for a 5-minute ride) She offered to order for 500 CZK When ordering, none of this was mentioned and I think that the hotel, if it undertakes the provision of some kind of service, even a partnership, must be responsible for it and warn about negative things in advance. I would really like mineral baths and a ramp for luggage

The staff is wonderful, very attentive doctor, excellent treatment and food. The location of the sanatorium in relation to the springs is convenient, beautiful Sadovaya Street. The price-quality ratio is excellent. The sanatorium has two combined buildings; rooms in the second building are more suitable for people who do not have problems with the musculoskeletal system, since there is a passage between the buildings with stairs, and you have to walk quite a lot during the day. People with musculoskeletal conditions and older people are better off booking the main building.

Excellent, wonderfully located hotel! Great room, we had a suite on the 2nd floor. A wonderful cook: everything he cooked was very tasty, varied, the dishes were not repeated in 2 weeks. Not all 4 and 5 star hotels can provide such food and service. The medical staff is friendly, the treatment is standard, as everywhere else in Karlovy Vary. They provide coupons for 2 visits per week to the pool in Lazne 5. The pool is good, large, does not smell of chlorine, there are relaxation areas and hydromassage, a sauna. Excellent hotel for reasonable money, I recommend it.Negatives

We rested from March 31 to April 14. This was our second time at the hotel. The quality of food and treatment remained at a good level. The maids do their work conscientiously. This time we had the impression that this was the friendliest staff. Last time, the doctor saw me at the beginning of arrival and before departure, recommendations were given. (This happened in other KV sanatoriums that we visited) Now the doctor saw me on Monday, for the second time 4 days later, on Thursday. We liked the first option better. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay, but we will think about visiting this hotel for the third time.Negatives
We got a room in the second building with an S prefix on the 4th floor next to the elevator. On the first night, they could not understand the reason for the constant hum in the room; it was more than uncomfortable to sleep. In the morning we contacted the receptionist on duty. The lady looked at us like we were looking at a wall, maybe after the night. In response to our complaints, she shrugged her shoulders and said that the hotel was full and there were no rooms available. And regarding the noise, she advised me to buy headphones and sleep in them. She probably meant earplugs, but for some reason we imagined sleeping with headphones on for two weeks. We began to look for the reason ourselves and found out that the elevator had nothing to do with it. When they took out the card and turned off the electricity in the room, the hum stopped. The hum was coming from the box above the door. At night, they simply took the card out of the slot. But the attitude of the night attendant left a very unpleasant aftertaste.

Doctor Jahodova is unfriendly and inattentive. She doesn’t listen to the patient and doesn’t delve into the problems, the doctor’s appointment turns into a formality. The nurse takes blood from a vein without wearing gloves, while the patient sits on a chair, “hand suspended.” This is already a violation of all medical laws! The 21st century is here, the hand must be fixed and disposable gloves are not a luxury, the patient should not sit on a stool, but recline in a chair! I would like to express my wish to change the towels on the massage table after patients, because people lie face down on this towel.

The big minus in the work of the travel agency sanatoriums.com is that they warned very late about moving to another room during their stay. The hotel administration warned the travel agency that the room had already been booked. The agency twice asked for confirmation of the reservation. We gave confirmation a week before arrival, when it was too late to change the hotel, we were warned about relocation during our stay. Please notify clients in advance about such changes.
