If the main problem is not with the joints, but with digestion, and water must be taken strictly according to schedule 45 minutes before meals, then a more convenient hotel from this point of view cannot be found. Everything is close and convenient! The procedures are laid out in such a way that there are no seats in queues, you just need to not be late. The staff is friendly, everyone speaks Russian, which is very convenient. I felt the results of the treatment already at the end of the first week, the pain in the spine went away, i.e. The treatment works, it really helps, which is the most important thing! The nutrition, of course, is not very good at all; it can only be justified by the name “dietary”. And the shift schedule itself is also completely inconvenient. I had the first shift, where dinner was from 17 to 18 hours. You can’t go far during the day, you have to be back by five, but after dinner there’s nowhere to go, everything starts to close. If you come running at 17:45, then you won’t be able to sit quietly, just quickly, they start turning off the lights at 18:00, like the second shift is already starting, it was annoying. The maids do not greet you when you meet them in the corridor, and even at the reception when entering and leaving, they do not always “notice”. Guests can only be invited to your room with the personal permission of the hotel director! This is the first time I have encountered such a situation abroad! In general, minor inconveniences, but they ruined life.

Astoria was like a gift. We were greeted without a hitch. They gave us a tour of Karlovy Vary. My husband and I were absolutely delighted. We had a large room overlooking the colonnade. Very bright and comfortable. The treatment is good. On the first day, the doctor prescribed me procedures that I didn’t really need, the next day I went to the doctor and they rearranged my treatment schedule without any problems. If you go to Karlovy Vary again, then definitely through sanatoriums

Comfortable and cozy in Astoria. They gave us a room overlooking the Colonnade, a very beautiful view. The food is good, in the morning there is a buffet and quite varied, in the evening there are decently loaded menu dishes. Among the procedures, I would like to highlight gas injections; I consider them to be almost the most effective procedure for the back. In any case, my pain went away almost immediately and judging by the sensations it lasted for a long time. The only thing is that the nurse in Astoria does them very sensitively (maybe not for everyone, everyone has their own pain threshold). But believe me, it's worth it.

I rate the hotel positively. I liked the balneological department. The medical staff is smart, they do the procedures competently, and they understand Russian. I would especially like to highlight gas injections, laser therapy and thermal baths. For the last year, my spine has just been incredibly painful; I was treated in Astoria for 14 days, and after 5 days I forgot about the pain. It still doesn't hurt, although moving home was tiring with heavy suitcases.

The food was wonderful. The main advantage of Astoria is its location. Directly opposite the hotel there are springs. The Geyser source is 3 minutes on foot. The hotel is quiet and calm, the main contingent is elderly people from Russia. There were no guests with children. If your room faces the street, be prepared for noise – horses and carriages are driving by. The food is generally good, the food is tasty. You won't be able to eat for slaughter, but you definitely won't go hungry.
