I spent 3 weeks at the Astoria sanatorium from June 11 to July 2. The first time I was in this sanatorium was 10 years ago after knee arthroscopy, and then they literally “put me back on my feet.” After the reconstruction, much has changed for the better in the sanatorium: the rooms have been renovated and redesigned; the wellness center was expanded and a steam and herbal sauna was added to the Finnish sauna, as well as a Kneipp path; We have equipped a spacious relaxation area with a selection of refreshing drinks. A wonderful bonus is the tea room, which is open all day. In addition, the restaurant canceled meals in 2 shifts and introduced a buffet. And they no longer scheduled procedures at 6 a.m. The sanatorium has a good medical base, the procedures are performed very efficiently. Doctor Krabcova is very attentive, she thoroughly figured out all the problems, big and small, and prescribed the procedures that were needed and that were possible. The treatment is well organized, there are no queues anywhere. The entire staff is very friendly and ready to fulfill all wishes. Special thanks to masseur Ludek (massage 3), my neck appreciated his efforts. The girls work very efficiently in the restaurant, constantly re-clothing the tables, and used dishes are immediately removed. The choice of dishes is quite large: for lunch and dinner there were always 2 types of soup, fish, beef, pork, poultry, and often venison; 4-5 types of side dishes, salads, fruits, pastries, tea, cocoa and coffee from a coffee machine. In addition, there were 7 types of ice cream for lunch and dinner, which was very useful in hot weather. I would also like to note the wonderful work of Sanatoriums. Very easy to contact, all problems were practically resolved in real time, despite the difference in time zones. The transfer was organized very clearly.
