The hotel does not deserve more than 3*. They clean poorly, the furniture is old. I booked a single room and lived alone in a room with two beds. There was no turning around. Bathrobes for an additional fee, the central elevator worked intermittently. It's unlikely that I will return to this hotel

The staff is being replaced by young, not fully trained workers. There is a lot of rudeness, especially the new nurse at the reception. Didn't like the food. I understand that the sanatorium prepares food either steamed or baked. But sometimes it's very tasteless. In the evening especially, it seemed as if the mixed salads were made from the day's vegetable dishes. I liked that there was a tea room where you could get honey and lemons. In the restaurant you can get pastries and fruits.

We stayed from 6 to 18 February - we really liked the location of the hotel, just perfect! Excellent attitude of the medical staff, a wonderful elderly woman doctor (unfortunately we didn’t remember her last name), wonderful new rooms and furniture, an excellent salt room. I didn’t like everything related to food and the restaurant: guests are divided into 2 shifts (for breakfast, lunch and dinner), they have to meet the allotted 1.5 hours (instead of 3) in all other hotels, and the staff expresses dissatisfaction if you are a little late - very not correct! Only carp, trout, boiled tongue and meat are cooked deliciously. There are a LOT of onions in all salads and ready-made dishes! There is practically no Wi-Fi. It's impossible to work. I had to go to the 2nd floor, because the one above doesn’t work. And this despite the fact that the vlan is positioned throughout the hotel. Over the last 4 days, new chefs have arrived and it has become impossible to eat in Astoria. Disgusting and tasteless food. The food experience was spoiled. If we exclude these 2 minuses, everything else was decent.

Releasing your room at 10 am upon departure is very early, since many people use Karlovy Vary Airport, from where the only flight to Moscow is at 15-20 and it is not clear what to do all this time with things and clothes, you have to jostle for so long at the reception desk. They clean the room after check-out for half an hour, so why not let the person leaving stay in the room at least until 12 o'clock.

The big drawback is that people were not notified that natural construction was going on in the hotel on three floors. There was a hum from drills and grinding machines. Coming after the procedures, there was no opportunity to rest. I lived in 210 rooms.. One day I came back from the procedure and found a bottle of wine and a note from the administration. I apologize for the inconvenience. My wish for the administration is to notify your clients about the repairs honestly.

When checking in, you need to ask if the client wants to live near the renovation/construction work! This really interferes with a normal, relaxing holiday! Not all junior/duty staff are friendly and many should be more attentive, patient and polite when communicating with vacationers (especially in old age)! When we booked trips to the Astoria sanatorium, we were a little apprehensive, after all, it was 3 stars (before that we were in fours). But the fears turned out to be in vain. I liked everything very much. Accommodation: room after renovation, everything is new, beds are comfortable. Cleaning was done every day. Food: although many are not happy that the hotel switched to all-inclusive meals, we really liked it. The food is varied, everything is tasty, there is a lot of choice. Treatment: the procedures are carried out strictly on time, the doctor at the reception (we went to the head physician Jaroslava Krabcova) listened carefully, examined, measured the pressure and prescribed procedures taking into account our wishes. In the sanatorium, meals are served in two shifts; therefore, the procedures were very well distributed over time. We always had time to drink water and eat, and not be late for procedures. The staff is friendly and attentive. All requests were fulfilled. The location of the sanatorium is simply magnificent, two steps from the colonnade (this is especially true in the morning). Excursions: we went on a free excursion from sanatorium.com to Prague. The guide - Alena Reznikova - is just some kind of miracle!!! Although this was not our first time in Prague, we learned a lot of new things from her. Thank you very much, Alena! In general, only positive emotions. I recommend the hotel.Negatives

1. There is no Internet at all, there is practically no connection in the rooms, we had to go out into the hall or go downstairs. 2. Room cleaning is very poor. 3. The soundproofing of the rooms is weak, noisy neighbors walked behind the wall in the evenings, there was practically no sleep for several days. 4. Musicians near the Colonnade and the clatter of horse-drawn carts’ hooves greatly interfere with proper rest during the day.

Only the placement was good, because opposite the room on the street side there were hammer drills that worked day and night, which prevented proper sleep, especially in the first days. Everything else was good. The room is clean and comfortable. Very friendly and conscientious staff, especially the masseuse, unfortunately I forgot her name. Third floor number 6. I would like to note the work of doctor Andrei Belov, who finds an individual approach to each patient and prescribes appropriate treatment. Very polite and friendly. The cuisine was excellent, a wide variety of dishes, salads, pastries, fruits. Everything is prepared with soul and very tasty. They came up with a very good idea with the tea room. Especially on cold days, tea with lemon and honey was very helpful. I wish the entire team further prosperity and success in everything. Thanks a lot, everyone!!! There is no negativity towards the Astoria sanatorium.!!! Some vacationers left a not very good impression. This applies to the kitchen. They picked up a lot of everything, but didn’t even eat half of it. It was unpleasant to see such a blasphemous attitude towards food.
