The price-performance ratio in this hotel is very poor! It started with the food and partly ended with the service. We have never been treated as poorly in a 4 star hotel as we were in this hotel. It corresponds to the standard of a canteen and in no way a 4 star hotel. It's a long way from good cuisine there. The food was not presented attractively, was simple, bland and sometimes very tasteless. The advertising on the internet and on the flyers doesn't even begin to match what you can find there to eat. The ladies at the reception were very rude. The impression was that Germans weren't particularly welcome and there weren't many German guests there either. On the day of departure, the reception informed us at breakfast that if we didn't drive away our parked car (parking space was paid for the entire stay on the first day) immediately, the towing service would come and take it away because of the street cleaning that was about to be carried out. Reporting was apparently not possible. Staying in this hotel is simply not recommended. Luckily, Karlovy Vary is a very beautiful city and we had many nice encounters outside the hotel and learned that things are much better in other hotels. Finally, a word about our trip to Prague, which was included in the package, and which was a wonderful experience thanks to a nice fellow traveler who translated everything for us. Sehr geehrte Gäste, ersttaten Sie uns, daß wir uns zur Ihrer Bewertung erklären. Sie waren bei uns für eine Woche zu Kur. Dem zweiten Tag wollten Sie, ob wir nicht Zimmer mit Balkon haben. Wir haben Ihnen Zimmer mit Balkon ausgesucht, aber Sie sind dann lieber im Ihren ursprünglichen Zimmer geblieben. Schade, daß Sie Im Restaurant nichts sagten, obwohl im Restaurant immer ein Manager dabei ist. Am Meisten sind die Gäste mit der Küche bei uns sehr zufrieden. Parken – die Kollegin von der Rezeption hat SIe einem Tag vor der Straßenreinigung davon informiert. Alle unsere Mittarbeiter bemühen sich, daß unsere Gäste bei uns zufrieden werden und wir glauben – den Bewertungen nach - daß es uns gut geht. Wir schätzen alle unsere Gäste und es ist uns egal aus welchem Land sie kommen. Ausflug nach Prag haben wir nicht organisiert- wenden Sie sich bitte deswegen an dem Organisator, der es Ihnen angeboten hat. I would like to express my gratitude to the entire team of the Venus sanatorium. I stayed in the sanatorium for 26 days, during such a long period of time I did not have a single complaint about any of the services - everyone worked very well: the reception, the medical department, the dining room, the cleaning service. The rooms are comfortable and correspond to the description on the website. There are no kettles, but in the dining room you will be given a thermos kettle with boiling water upon request. Somehow this service was not mentioned; I found out by chance from other guests and used it. The food is delicious, I had a lot of it, I tried to choose food to suit my diet and preferences, the canteen managers always met me halfway: for example, several times I asked for cottage cheese for dinner instead of the fish/meat stated on the menu. I also liked that the food was under-salted - this is very good for those on a salt-free diet; everyone else can add more salt to their liking. 2 years ago I was in a 4-star sanatorium, where there was a full-time nutritionist, but the soups were always salted to the point of being too salty, many complained, but to no avail. Doctor Mrs. Zdenka Frankova is attentive, friendly and always met my wishes regarding the procedures, thank you very much for her work. Also, many thanks to all the nurses of the medical department: all procedures were completed on time and without dissatisfaction on their faces, even when there were many patients. The reception is also good, everything is clear. I had a negative experience with the reception of another sanatorium, where upon departure they demanded to re-pay for my stay, although everything had already been paid for and payment receipts were presented. I still remember those humiliating half-hour proceedings. Special thanks to the reception for promptly helping in a situation where I had to go down from the 5th floor with a heavy suitcase to go to the airport, and at that time the elevators in the hotel were broken.Negatives
This is not a negative, but rather a wish. On one of the days of my stay, the maids delivered bottles of water to the rooms. I didn’t understand why they suddenly gave me a bottle of water - maybe it was a compliment for my long stay at the hotel? Then it turned out that the water was paid and the amount of 60 CZK was paid at the reception. Good afternoon, dear service workers, from the bottom of our hearts we thank you for the work done in organizing the selection of hotels and transfers. You responded to any of our questions very quickly and answered our questions competently. We really liked the Venus Hotel. Its location and how the service works, as well as food – everything corresponds to the hotel of the category assigned to it. But the only negative is that opposite there is a three-star hotel - clinic, Krivan And whose guests, it seems, come not for spa treatment, but to have a fun time. Starting immediately after dinner and until 3-4 in the morning, they, sitting on the terrace and drinking alcoholic drinks, did not let us sleep with their loud laughter. Sleepless nights have taken a toll on our health. It is a pity that the administration of the Venus Hotel did not resolve this issue in favor of its guests. On one of these nights, we were forced to call the police ourselves, since the employee working at the reception that day on the night shift refused to help us. And so, we were very upset that we chose this hotel. Once again we would like to express our deep gratitude to your organization in all matters and willingness to help. I can only recommend the hotel. Unfortunately I was only there for a week. You don't get that many spa treatments there, but they were all of high quality. Many thanks to the super nice doctor! Very good food is also offered there. Skin dishes are served to everyone at the table, and there are numerous side dishes and salads. Fruits and sweets for dessert. Very nice staff, you feel at home right from the reception. Your own swimming pool, sauna cabin and blinds don't let you get bored on rainy days.
