Spa Hotel Smetana Vysehrad was in October 2019. I liked everything very much. A beautiful detached sanatorium, a very cozy restaurant. Tasty food. Many thanks to the restaurant staff, their dishes are not only delicious, but also beautifully presented. The treatment was more recreational, and that was enough for me. Everyone can communicate in Russian. A big plus is the swimming pool, saunas (there is something to do in the evening). I would like to warn those who have problems with their legs, it is better to choose a sanatorium closer to drinking springs. It’s really not very close to walk, you also need to take into account that you need to drink water 3 times. For me personally, in my sedentary work, this was only a plus when I was in a hurry to take a shortcut down the stairs.Negatives

I was in the sanatorium for two weeks from October 13th. We arrived in the evening, were greeted, and checked in immediately. Special thanks to the transfer driver from sanatoriums.com for waiting, because... there was a delay due to lost luggage, also a huge thank you to sanatoriums.com and the Guide for helping us get to the airport in Karlovy Vary the next day and back to pick up our luggage from Moscow. The sanatorium itself is very cozy, has a wonderful restaurant with very friendly service staff, they always smile and try to fulfill any request. The custom menu is very tasty and the dishes are presented very beautifully. The cook is 5*. Vegetables and fruits according to the season. In the morning tea, coffee assorted, for lunch and dinner tea for every taste. The treatment is standard, as in all KV sanatoriums. The staff at the balneocenter are friendly, they know their job perfectly, they treat everyone well, with a smile and understanding. The sanatorium itself, as stated in the description, is located a 15-minute walk from the 15th source, on a mountain, for those with joint problems it is difficult to climb back. Compensation is the presence of a free swimming pool and sauna (Finnish, Turkish, infrared), with a jacuzzi, there will be something to do in the evening. On Wednesdays there is live music for you. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. This was our fifth visit to Karlovy Vary and for the first time we managed to book (and very profitably, thanks to the site sanatoriums.com) a room at the Smetana Vysehrad hotel. Everything was impeccable - the location of the hotel, friendly staff, delicious and varied cuisine, a modern spa center, a parking space, even a swimming pool in the hotel. From the first day, only a positive mood.. The transfer was excellent.. Alexey... met.. interesting conversations along the entire route.. Slept softly, ate modestly in agreement with the restaurant employees.. ate porridge on the water (every day buckwheat and oatmeal on milk) every morning... and fish for lunch.. Salads are mostly in sauces (I don’t eat that at all), but you can make your own salad by cutting up vegetables.. olive oil is always on the table.. modest boiled fish was in my diet.. Jan and Yanochka were always smiling.. the room was clean.. the head doctor Jana Hellerova interviewed me in detail (it’s better to come with statements and diagnoses).. everything was chosen well.. the procedures are simple, but in totality everything is wonderful.. I really liked ALL the staff, without exception.. you just need to behave calmly.. any REQUEST was heard.. don’t forget to tell people thank you and please... YOU will receive the same thing in return.. The hotel is *homely*.. ALL The staff are simple and wonderful.. I happened to catch a little cold before leaving... I turned to the Doctor... the procedures were immediately changed.. in two days I improved my health thanks to the human attitude and the correct selection of procedures.. the cold did not penetrate “deeply”... I didn’t like it ALL! It’s always necessary with kindness.. it’s clear that we pay money and you always want more than you get.. but your own mood is also very important.. THE WEATHER was wonderful.. just lucky.. and no one spoiled the mood.. everything is modest and without pathos .. Thanks to Svetlana Fedorovich (sanatoriums.com) for her help in organizing my trip.. Good afternoon. I was resting. 23.09 to 06.10. 19 in this hotel. Relaxation and atmosphere are made by people. The staff is beyond praise. Helena - in the restaurant - is an incredibly kind person. Both at the reception and in the treatment area, they are very responsive and pleasant people. I felt at home :) the food was good, everything was delicious, I prefer fish, they fed me according to my diet #3, if I didn’t have time for dinner or lunch, they put my dish aside or brought it into the room (at my request). I appreciate the individual approach. The location of the hotel is excellent, but not for people with musculoskeletal disorders, as they have to climb up the hill after water three times a day. To the central colonnade - 10 minutes, to the main geyser - 15 minutes on foot. The hotel is located in a forested area, it is fresh and pleasant to walk, and there is also a lake with ducks nearby. I had a double standard with a balcony, which suited me quite well. Cleaned every day. I think I told you everything :)Negatives

My wife and I underwent treatment from October 2 to October 16, 2019. The transfer was at the highest level, we were met despite our late arrival in Prague. Check-in at the hotel took 5 minutes. The room is excellent, with a view of the Peter and Paul Church! The next morning, the head nurse received us. Doctor Yana, having familiarized herself with the brought tests and diagnoses, listened to us carefully and prescribed a drinking course of treatment and procedures. Everything is fine-tuned like a Swiss watch! Everything is on time and in a good mood! We were very pleased! Many thanks to all medical staff! I also really liked the food, varied and tasty. Those who go on an excursion and don’t come for lunch and dinner take bags with them for the trip, it’s very convenient. All service is smooth, no delays. Helena always smiles and pleases with her attention. We took advantage of a free excursion to Prague, our guide Valentina told us so many interesting things that we simply enjoyed this trip! What can’t be said about a trip around the resort triangle with Natalie’s company. The pool and saunas are excellent. We give a solid rating of 10 and will come to Smetana next time! We visited the sanatorium twice. In April and October of this year. Everyone is happy. Everything is quiet, calm. The staff is friendly. The front desk staff was polite but not friendly. Maybe it was because there were mostly Russian guests present and it was difficult for them to communicate in German. I'm not big on downsides, but, to my great regret, there were some. When we checked in, we were initially offered a small room with a broken lock on the window. However, when contacting the prescription... a more comfortable room was offered. The food needs improvement, as poor quality fish was served twice, and poor quality scrambled eggs once. Buckwheat and vegetables came to the rescue in these cases. Among other things, my husband and I had the impression that dinners were not prepared at this hotel, since the potatoes on the side were cooked yesterday.
