The hotel is not a restaurant, but a dining room. The food is very economical, although the taste is not bad. For a 4-star hotel this is very modest. The cleaning staff's work is terrible. It’s not clear whether they clean it at all or just come in and out. There are very few beds in the sauna section. People have to stand. Problem with sheets and towels in the sauna. We really liked the Ambassador, as did Karlovy Vary itself. The city is much more comfortable than Prague, but you can spend time usefully thanks to the healing springs. The hotel has a wonderful SPA, we also rate the accommodation 10 out of 10, since the furniture was comfortable, the room was bright, the room was perfectly cleaned and ventilated.

Hotel: Environment much too loud. Sirens from the emergency ambulance every hour during the day. In the evening and at night there was noise from the attached outdoor area of the Pilsner Urquell restaurant, which was directly below our windows. Disco on Saturday. Hardly possible to sleep with the windows open. Since the air conditioning wasn't running, it was necessary to open the windows. No luggage service upon arrival. We had to bring our suitcases to our rooms ourselves from the hotel parking lot, which was a hundred meters away. Upon departure we were offered luggage service by the reception. Despite being offered a choice of pillows, we couldn't get a feather pillow. Due to a plastic allergy, we wanted to replace the pillows. We were offered another pillow with plastic filling. Room cleaning: towels were changed and the trash cans were emptied daily. Bed linen was changed after a week. The wine glasses were only cleaned when requested (with the same cloth that was also used to wipe the tables!). The room floors were not cleaned in two weeks. Food selection: Monotonous. Fish (mackerel or salmon) and meat are usually cooked/fried until very dead. Parking lot: There is a barrier at the front and at the back you can easily drive away with the stolen car over a small threshold as the polders do not completely block off the rear area. Das Hotel befindet sich im Stadtzentrum, daher kann es insgesamt an Wochenenden ein sehr beliebtes Ziel sein. Das Hotel verfügt auch über die berühmte Music Bar Kakadu und die Orpheum Hall, wo das Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra regelmäßig auftritt. Wir sind auch das kulturelle Zentrum von Karlovy Vary, weil das Hotel oft eine sehr lebendige Atmosphäre hat. Die Stadtgebühr ist eine obligatorische Gebühr, die von jedem Gast zu zahlen ist und ab September 2021 von der Stadt auf 35 CZK pro Person erhöht wird. Wir haben kürzlich die Speisekarte geändert. Die Gebühr für den Verfahrensplan oder dessen Änderung beträgt 150 CZK.

The Superior double room is large, the ceiling - approx. 3.5 m high, parquet flooring, no balcony. The bathroom is also large: shower + bathtub + toilet + bidet + washbasin + hairdryer + washing utensils + flip flops + bathrobe and towels - everything is clean. In October 2020 it was very quiet, few guests because of Corona: in two beautiful saunas (medium and very warm), a.türk. There were only 1-2 people in the sauna and swimming pool at the same time or no one at all. Breakfast: buffet was reasonably varied (with fruit); Lunch and dinner (map) was in the “Kakadu” restaurant in the basement - very tasty, so “Kakadu” is well visited by locals. At the beginning of October we rested at the Ambassador Hotel. I would like to express special gratitude to the girls who received physiotherapy. Everything was at the highest level, the girls were very professional and friendly. The food was varied, everything was very tasty. The staff in the restaurants is attentive and correct... In general, we had a rest and treatment. It was great, all this is the merit of the excellent team of the Ambassador Hotel. I would also like to mention the guide to Prague, she is simply a miracle. This is a man who is in love with his profession and makes you immerse yourself in such an interesting and fascinating history of the Czech Republic. There was one drawback in the catering arrangement, but this was most likely a coincidence. There weren’t many vacationers at the hotel, and those who had full board were even smaller, so we ate at lunch in the second restaurant located in the same hotel. This is where the problems started, we were always given some kind of restrictions, we can’t order this, we can’t order it. Today this is possible, tomorrow it is no longer possible. No one really explained what we could order and what we couldn’t.

The hotel is very conveniently located for those who love shopping and hanging out in restaurants and bars. It is quite pleasant to take a daily walk to the colonnade and the springs for those who come to drink Karlovy Vary water. The restaurant, in my opinion, is a little cramped for such a large hotel, this is especially noticeable on days when the hotel is fully occupied. But the cook is excellent, the meat, poultry and fish dishes are very tasty and varied. As for the rooms, they are very cozy and spacious with good furniture. The hotel staff is very polite and unobtrusive; any problems that arise are resolved quickly, with a smile and a good mood. If there is something wrong with the cleaning of the room, the lack of towels in the sauna, contact the person on duty at the reception, everything will be corrected immediately. The treatment is very high quality and professional. The medical staff deserves special thanks. It’s especially great that treatment procedures are also carried out on weekends, thanks to this you can have a fairly convenient schedule of procedures, you can find time for walks around the city and on excursions. I can definitely recommend choosing this hotel for treatment and relaxation.
