But in this regard, they only suggested drinking water... Which actually suited me. Some problems have noticeably improved. Honey. The staff is mostly kind, works competently and quickly. On the negative side, I can say that my room overlooked a remote courtyard. And several times very early in this courtyard, garbage was taken out with a loud noise. From the hotel adjacent to Krivan. About 4:30 a.m. local time. They also replaced my refrigerator twice, which did not freeze, but on the contrary, it was hot in it! And my first food items for dinner spoiled. I had two meals a day: breakfast and lunch.. The refrigerator was replaced with a more or less normal one the third time. But I didn’t really like the food at the sanatorium. There were certain dishes that were difficult for people with problems to digest. And the most important thing is the number of steps in the corridors. For people with musculoskeletal problems it was pure hell! And no one helped carry a heavy suitcase on the day of arrival and departure.

This is my 5th time coming to Karlovy Vary. This is my second time staying in Krivan. The sanatorium has many advantages over others, even 4-star ones. The largest number of procedures. Convenient schedule. Comfortable, clean rooms. Varied food. And of course, the location is in the very center of the resort, close to the springs. In principle, we rested and received treatment for the first time in the Krivan Hotel and in Karlovy Vary. Therefore, this sanatorium is a pioneer of impressions. Unfortunately, big comments about the work of the reception! Firstly, lack of knowledge of languages, both Russian and English; in a hotel of this category, one of the above must be known. Secondly, the lack of knowledge of the ethics of communication between the reception and guests. Situations: on the very first day of my arrival, a woman came up to the reception and in Russian explained to them the problem with which she had been contacting them for three days, in response she heard: “What do you want from me? I’ve already told you three times that on Monday they’ll come and sort it out, stop coming to me...” (and this dialogue took place in my presence😧) The second girl at the reception completely “knocked me over” when I called from the number and she asked to wait a minute (as I understand, in order to call a Russian-speaking employee), as a result they told me that we don’t have an iron and ask for it at 7 am.

The complaint is not against the hotel, but against the managers of the Sanatorium! do not have information about the hotel: before booking, I specifically asked to clarify the availability of the intestinal lavage procedure, this sanatorium was guaranteed. Krivan has not performed these procedures for a year! Managers do not check website information!

The room we were in had loud squeaky beds. Lying on these beds and sofa, you could feel all the springs on your back (obviously this is very old furniture). Night rest on such beds is impossible - during the day you are treated, and at night you are crippled. The pillows were very thin - we had to roll them into a roller. And... the sanatorium has very few of its own parking spaces for cars - we had to park at another hotel and pay 40 euros for a 4-day stay

The number of procedures corresponds to that stated on the website. Unlike, for example, the Astoria sanatorium, in which, if you take the oxygen therapy procedure, then they reduce the other procedures by 2-3 and instead of those stated on the website, you actually get much less. In this regard, Krivan keeps his promises regarding medical procedures, which evokes positive emotions. Because the goal of many people who come here is complete treatment. 3. Most procedures are carried out in the first half of the day. In my opinion, it is very convenient. 4. The staff at the procedures are mostly friendly and therefore, if there are free places, you can always agree to come early. 5. I have been vacationing in this sanatorium for many years and, if I am not satisfied with the room, they always go to a meeting and, if possible, change it to a more suitable one. 6. The food is very good. Especially breakfasts (I’ll write about dinners in the next section). The waiters work well in the dining room. I especially want to mention Tatyana on the terrace. A friendly, smiling and attentive girl from Ukraine. 7. Free internet in the rooms. Previously, I was only at the reception and in the lobby. 8. Rooms and bed linen are cleaned regularly. Towels are fresh daily. There are robes (by the way, there were none in Astoria). The girls try to do the cleaning quickly and unnoticed by us, which is very nice. 9. Everyone mostly speaks Russian, so if problems arise, they are also resolved quickly. 10. It is very convenient for me that the rooms, treatment, and dining room are in the same building. Although there are several buildings, they are all connected by passages. There are elevators everywhere. 11. In general, like many vacationers, I have been going to the Krivan Hotel for many years and I think that the price corresponds to the quality. Although in general I really love the Krivan Hotel and try to come every year, I still want to draw attention to some negative aspects. 1. The Oxygenotherapy procedure was reduced by a whole hour. I have always and everywhere praised your hotel precisely because of this procedure. Now it’s like everywhere else. IT'S A PITY. I kindly ask the hotel administration and the director to personally return to the previous time for this procedure, which is useful for many and for me personally. Oxygen therapy helped me a lot with migraines. Absolutely everyone who went to this procedure was outraged. Therefore, we kindly request you to return Oxygen therapy to the way it was. 2 hours plus charging. I really hope so. 2. I would like to diversify the dinner. Ideally a buffet. 3. I would like more sweet dishes for dinner.

1. Consider the “paraffin hand wrap” procedure. The paraffin temperature is higher than normal and burns your hands. There are no separate gloves to retain heat... hands are wrapped in terry towels, which fly off and cannot be corrected. You sit during the procedure on an uncomfortable chair and look at a bare wall. You can refurbish the room by adding armchairs and quiet music for relaxation. 2. Food is not of the best quality. There is no variety of soups, bread, no dried crackers for breakfast, no variety of salads. The second courses are satisfactory. The desserts are absolutely not desserts, unsatisfactory for the pastry chef. Complete lack of fresh fruit in the summer.

I am very pleased with the treatment, the location of the hotel, the food is monotonous, especially breakfast - there is no choice at all, the staff is friendly, the hotel is clean, the rooms are cleaned conscientiously, there are enough towels, sheets and towels are provided for the sauna and procedures on site. The price for the sauna is very high one an hour costs 4 euros. The pressure was like that of a young woman, thanks to injections and bags of carbon dioxide. The general impression is good. There are also things that I would like to improve. There were very few fruits (not at all), and it was summer... I didn’t have a very good placement - the windows started at chest level. Although there are no complaints about the room itself, it was equipped normally, it was serviced ok, high ceilings, high quality linen. After exercising in the pool, you just need to turn on the sauna for at least 15-20 minutes

Treatment times are reduced compared to other hotels. They said it was because there were a lot of people. So they want money but are unable to provide it. There is no dirt - we had to go to another hotel for extra money. Although the hotel was chosen because of the advertised dirt. Food is actually a song. The quality is terrible - no eggs, no cottage cheese, no fruit, no baked goods - meat, potatoes, sausage - hmm, of course someone can be cured with such a diet. And of course, if you have time to eat - learned people go to the beginning of breakfast - lunch - but if the procedure and came later, then go hungry - they say it’s all over. So I paid for the food but had to eat it outside because the hotel didn’t provide it. There is a feeling that you are in the Soviet era of the 70s; neither the staff nor the management need anything - everything is done for show.
