The food in the sanatorium is average, it is not bad, but not excellent either. They gave us little fruit, only a few times. Sometimes there were stale food. Packed rations for excursion days are meager; both lunch and dinner are skipped during excursions. I note once again that I was at the sanatorium for my birthday, it’s a pity that the management of the sanatorium does not adhere to the good tradition of congratulating a person on his birthday, I was completely alone and I think it would have been nice for me. We visited your sanatorium for the second time, we liked everything very much, we stayed in room 1322. The service staff was very attentive to all our requests. Bedding was changed frequently and robes were exchanged upon request. We are very pleased that upon arrival we changed our room from the third building on the 5th floor to a room in the first building on the 3rd floor (painful legs and difficulty climbing the numerous stairs). Many thanks to the doctor who observed us, Tatyana Krotova, for the correctly selected procedures, as well as advice and recommendations for further health maintenance. If possible, we will visit more than once.

I didn’t like my doctor Krotova with her familiar tone, calling me by name and “poking”, and I, for a moment, am 56 years old. I came to the sanatorium with my own preference for the choice of procedures: for me, the most important procedures were baths, massage, paraffin, dry carbon dioxide baths. This list arose after I rested at the Zvezda sanatorium in Marianske Lazne, and felt very good after these procedures. Of all the listed procedures in full, I received appointments only for paraffin and massage, I did not receive dry carbon dioxide baths at all, and only 4 mineral baths, and yet people go to the waters specifically for the baths. And I also didn’t understand why a new massage therapist took me for a massage every time.

I especially note the gas injection room and nurse Eva, who works in difficult conditions: when patients wince, suffer from pain, are irritated... but Eva is attentive, friendly, and professional. Thank you! I rate the treatment at 5. Also, the accommodation, the location of the sanatorium and the overall comfortable atmosphere. In addition, Karlovy Vary provides an excellent opportunity to travel around the Czech Republic and other European countries - this is a huge plus. This time I went to Switzerland and Cesky Krumlov with Hluboka Castle. The restaurant began to work much better - a solid 4 - with attentive and fast-working waitresses, a fairly varied menu.

Negative, only from the dining room side, there are no complaints about the waiters. They did their job very quickly and carefully. Very polite and responsive. One administrator, a woman, turned out to be rude and principled, did not allow a sick child to take a piece of pie into his room!!!!!!And the child ate poorly and was sick. And the menu and food left a negative impression. Fatty foods, old oil, fried with black onions. The dishes on the menu sound beautiful, but in reality not all of them turned out to be tasty. There were exceptions in 2 weeks; we can note 5 dishes that they were tasty and of excellent quality. But there was something like that. With heartburn and stomach pain, even rice for dinner was served after dinner in old oil. But the leading profile is gastrointestinal diseases. Therefore, I recommend reviewing the menu and not saving so much, otherwise the quality of the dishes and the benefits from them will be reduced, and the risk of exacerbation and poisoning will increase! !!!!!

My only criticism is the food. I have a sick stomach. At the beginning of my stay in the sanatorium, for 10 days everything was fine. All instructions and requests were fulfilled: steamed fish, boiled meat without sauce. Then the menu got worse: it was difficult to choose the right food. The details of cooking were often hidden under the names “in Bavarian”, “in Polish”.. It would be nice to return to the previous cooking.
