I have been a guest at the Krivan sanatorium for the umpteenth time. The accommodation is good as usual and the reception staff are very friendly. The room was clean and cleaned regularly. Everything fine. The food was completely fine, the service was attentive, very friendly and fulfilled all my wishes. The applications were great as usual! We rested in the sanatorium from 12 to 25.02. The sanatorium is wonderful, the declared 3 stars are completely justified. The location of the sanatorium cannot even be better imagined, the Garden Colonnade is a meter from the sanatorium, the Mill Colonnade is a few meters away, so maintaining the drinking regime is very easy and pleasant, a leisurely walk three times a day is a pleasure. Our doctor prescribed us 11.8 and 6 sources. The spa treatment is excellent, all 33 procedures were performed, performed very efficiently and in full, the staff speaks Russian, special thanks to doctor Sofia, an excellent spa doctor. There were no problems with changing the time for completing procedures; everything was changed to a convenient time for completion. The premises are cleaned daily. At the end of the stay at the sanatorium, an antigen test was taken. Everything was great except the food. Perhaps after repeated complaints about the quality of food, something will improve. When we checked in, we were assigned a place at the table, breakfasts were set for the week, 12 varieties, but it was impossible to choose something different for every day, because besides omelettes and scrambled eggs, there was nothing to choose for ourselves. The pancakes were almost raw. The coffee has no clear taste at all. The website announced a buffet breakfast, it didn’t exist until they started complaining about the quality of the food, the restaurant staff didn’t even offer a plate of cheese and sausage, even when their availability was declassified, they brought it only if the waiter was told about it, for people who were already relaxing in the sanatorium, this was also a discovery, the old people sat and did not touch the plates, did not understand that they were supposed to. The biggest minus is the cleaning; during my entire stay the room was not cleaned even once. and this is during a pandemic, when sanitary and hygiene requirements are very high. The food was very modest, the portions were not large, and the buffet ran out of dishes long before the end of the allotted time. the menu there is very, very limited. The time allotted for eating was very short, sometimes there was not enough time to combine it with the procedures. Despite the fact that orders for dishes were collected 24 hours in advance, one fine day the dish I ordered was not available. A clear sign of poor management. On the day of the excursion, we received packed rations for lunch and dinner, which clearly did not replace them. The contents of the ration included a 1.5 liter bottle of water, I don’t think that 1.5 liters of water is equivalent to a hot lunch or dinner in terms of nutritional value. The water in thermoses for breakfast was almost always lukewarm, tea was not brewed, it seems this was done so that guests would go to the bar and spend their money for what they had already paid for once. One evening, a fire alarm went off in one sector of the hotel. In this situation, the staff was completely illiterate and without a clear protocol of actions. While the guests were rushing up the stairs and did not know which exit to run out of, the first floor and lobby bar continued the fun and dancing!!! It’s too early to sow panic, but.....Then the fun begins - the worker on duty notices the fire alarm and goes out to check what happened. At the same time, guests continue to move and enter the dangerous sector. No one blocked the entrance to the sector of the building, no one informed the guests that while checking the cause of the siren, it was forbidden to enter this territory. People in panic did not understand anything and continued to go in and out of their rooms in the sector where there was no electricity and the alarm system was working . Absolute irresponsibility of the staff and illiteracy. It was simply wild to observe this from the outside for a person who constantly and regularly takes fire safety courses and has responsibilities and a clear protocol of actions at his full-time job. What happens next - the hotel duty officer inspects the sector, without saying a word to the guests, who are still located and continue to move in the dangerous sector. After the supposed check was completed, the duty officer did not announce anything to anyone, i.e. people didn’t fully understand what to do—whether it was possible to go to their room quietly, whether it was safe. There was simply no conversation with the guests either at the beginning of the situation or at its end; the guests asked each other what to do... The attendant did not even bother to inform the guests that they could return to their room and everything was safe. By the way, there were no apologies, even the next morning. I repeat once again - the complete irresponsibility of the staff in this sanatorium. I think that says it all. In the pool, the water and air were cold, it is extremely uncomfortable to be there, the water aerobics trainer is very lazy and not at all active for such a procedure, besides, 1 hour is allotted for this procedure, and the classes are only 10 minutes, what to do next? - to the sauna You can’t walk, it’s not comfortable to sit in cold water.....Answer from Spa Hotel Krivan

Very pleased with my stay at the hotel. I have been visiting this sanatorium for 6 years now. Especially, as always, I am pleased with the very attentive attitude of the medical staff and nurses during treatment procedures. The food became more varied and service began faster. I chose this sanatorium for three main reasons: 1. Very good location, all sources are nearby. 2. A large hotel-sanatorium, consisting of several buildings, with numerous rooms and physiotherapy departments, with a SPA center (saunas, swimming pool). All equipment, furniture, renovations are mostly new. All the staff speak Russian, they don’t always understand 100%, but at least they try to understand and help. Almost all the nurses who perform the procedures are friendly, responsive, and help in any way they can. I really liked Dr. Sofia, she finally diagnosed me (for more than 10 years I have been suffering from arthrosis of the feet, and then my knees, the pain is hellish, I went to a bunch of doctors here in Italy, no one really said anything or could help), prescribed me an excellent treatment program and By the 3-4th day I was already flying up the stairs (and on the first day of my arrival I couldn’t even climb a step). The food is modest but varied. As it turned out, I absolutely cannot eat most foods (meat, for example), and I didn’t eat pasta, rice, potatoes and baked goods in order to lose weight, so every time I got up from the table full and satisfied, because... there was a large amount of salads and fruits. Many thanks to the waiter Bogdan ❤️❤️❤️ a miracle, not a person!!!! He always ran from the farthest end of the hall to help if there was a misunderstanding (they brought the wrong thing or the wrong thing). A very friendly woman works at a kiosk with excursions and various cultural and entertainment programs, but I haven’t gone anywhere in 2 weeks, because... I received intensive treatment and rested. From conversations with regular visitors (who have been to Karlovy Vary approximately 5 to 15 times), I found out that Krivan is the best hotel in the city, because... provides the largest number of effective procedures in the shortest time and little money. So I will definitely go back there!!! I’m very glad that I found it by chance, I didn’t think twice about it, but bought tickets and came! I rate the Krivan Hotel as a good example of a sanatorium familiar to us from the past, with a rich medical base, comfortable accommodation for guests, good food and professional and friendly staff. We chose the Krivan Hotel because it has a large swimming pool with hydromassages and a jacuzzi. In the cold season, it would be good to keep the water temperature in the pool at least 30 degrees, as we were promised in correspondence with Krivani employees and written in the advertisement. The actual water temperature in the pool was just above 28 degrees and we could not use the pool sufficiently. Для плавательных бассейнов идеальная температура до 28°C, для купальных бассейнов - выше 28°C. Наш бассейн является реабилитационным бассейном, т.е. предназначен как для физических упражнений, так и для плавания, поэтому температура в нем находится в пределах 30-31°C, с учетом того, что в более теплой воде также легче размножаются болезнетворные микроорганизмы. В нашем бассейне регулярно берутся пробы воды независимой лабораторией и проверяются санитарной станцией. Надеемся на встречу с Вами в следующем году.
