We vacationed here for the second time, in comparison with 2017 there have been positive changes: a swimming pool has been put into operation, the room for mud therapy has been expanded, some other renovations are being carried out, apparently there will be more improvements. The best location, you can get there from the airport or Prague without any problems in a comfortable student bus to Karlovy Vary, then by bus No. 1 to the sanatorium, all for 8 euros per person, not far from the meeting point for excursions for trips around Europe, the Czech Republic. Not negative, but just thoughts. On Mondays, gas injections are given by the massage therapist Peter, he does it very carefully, slowly, every puncture is careful. In the following days, the same procedure performed by the head nurse goes very quickly, less painfully, it seems that sometimes the needle only touches the body and does not pierce. Maybe the impression is deceptive? Once a week there is live music in the restaurant, very pleasant, but at the same time inconvenient in front of the musicians, chewing vacationers who, during an excellent performance, pick up food, come in and out, in my opinion, an event in this format is not entirely appropriate, it might be better to move it to the hall.

We have been visiting Karlovy Vary for more than eight children, each time in a different sanatorium. A huge plus of the Windsor sanatorium is its location. Both towards the sources and in the opposite direction to the city, everything turns out to be nearby. Responsive staff. The food in the restaurant is excellent, always tasty and even plentiful. Two meals a day would have been enough for us since we did not have time to get hungry before the next meal. The pool is great, big and clean.Negatives

True professionals, the attitude of the restaurant staff was very pleasant. For example, at our request, the chef prepared fish, even if it was not on the menu. The waiter Irina was very attentive when my husband’s gastrointestinal disease worsened. If possible, she brought dietary dishes, without sauce or spicy additives. Very grateful. Blood collection. Performed by the head nurse. First of all, no gloves. Secondly, the patient does not hold his arm bent at the elbow, but down. This is acceptable, but requires a skill that the sister obviously does not possess. Most campers have bruises. My husband, for example, had a very (!) large hematoma, severe swelling + painful lump, which we are still treating. First, we were sent to the hospital to do an ultrasound at our own expense. This was outrageous, because the injury was caused by the fault of an unqualified nurse. However, in fairness, subsequently, the doctor invited and sent me for an ultrasound scan directly to the sanatorium, and prescribed treatment. They gave me ointment and everything I needed for dressings. Since everything else in the sanatorium is satisfactory, we plan to come again. At the same time, in order to avoid the recurrence of such unpleasant consequences, which continue to bother us even after returning from the sanatorium, we intend to refuse the blood test next time (have it done elsewhere) with appropriate compensation from the cost of the voucher. It is noteworthy that there are similar reviews, but management, unfortunately, does not respond. This undermines the prestige of one of the best sanatoriums in Karlovy Vary.
