We were in Karlovy Vary and, accordingly, in Richmond for the first time, so there is nothing to compare with. But for the first visit, I really liked everything. Immediately upon arrival, a representative of Sanatoriums contacted us, from whom, as it turned out, it was also possible to book various excursions, and not just free ones to Prague. In our opinion, a lot depends on the people themselves; for some, the view from the window is only a garage, but for us, the park that is located behind this garage is only worth raising our eyes a little higher; For some, the food is monotonous, but we were always able to choose something (for lunch and dinner there was always a choice of different types - fish, chicken, pork, beef, and sometimes rabbit, venison, it was somehow that in the first week there was a little tired of rice, pasta and potatoes and really wanted buckwheat, so it immediately appeared on the menu). The main feature of the hotel is the park, the opportunity to walk and enjoy nature. The more simply you treat the situation and do not elevate yourself to a royal position, the better the surrounding reality will seem.Negatives

It was our first time at the sanatorium and we really liked it. The sanatorium is located some distance from other hotels, which in our opinion was a plus, since we walked a lot because of this. But for those who have problems with movement, it will also be comfortable there, since the sanatorium has everything you need - even mineral water is delivered directly to the sanatorium. We liked the food, a large selection of main courses, in my opinion - for every taste. A wide variety of salads, vegetables, cheeses, cottage cheese products and 2-3 types of pastries. The staff is very friendly and tries to satisfy your wishes. The treatment is good, the procedures are properly planned taking into account the necessary break between procedures. The resort has a wonderful swimming pool, jacuzzi and several saunas. We are planning to come again next year.Negatives

Unfortunately, the thermal pool was not open during our stay, but all the saunas were in operation and we really liked them. It didn’t bother us to spend 40-50 minutes walking to the springs three times a day. But people with mobility problems (and there were many of them in the sanatorium) have to limit themselves to the park around and water from the geyser, which is supplied to the hotel. In principle, “Richmond” has everything for a good rest and treatment; it is self-sufficient.Positives
