I have been to Karlovy Vary three times so far. Richmond is the best of the sanatoriums where I have stayed. By the way, the only one worthy of 4 stars. Immaculately clean, excellent location, wonderful, perfectly organized and equipped treatment facility. Good, quite varied food. Silence.Negatives
For me (and I think for quite a number of others, since I’m soon 80), the quality of the Internet is essential. It's not important. And no, it’s slow, there were breaks. Not without difficulty and not without failure, for example, I registered a return flight to Moscow. It seemed to me that the television was not at the level of the hotel. In any case, there are only 2 channels in Russian, although hardly less than half of the guests are Russian clients. There are 5 German channels, and this is also not enough. There are no French, Italian, or Spanish ones at all. Only the increasingly less popular CNN is in English.

I consider the location of the Richmond Spa Hotel to be a big plus, which allows me to move a lot every day. As a result, in two weeks I lost weight and got toned. I think the only drawback is that the restaurant staff shakes the tablecloths on neighboring tables in the presence of vacationers. It's not very pleasant.

The hotel is located a 20 minute walk from the main spring, next to a large park with many walking paths. The room offered to us was large, bright, overlooking the park and river. Room cleaning is satisfactory. The food is very tasty, varied (there is a diet table). Treatment is at a decent level, all hotel staff are friendly and qualified. The hotel deserves 5 star status. It must have happened that on the day of departure I probably caught rotavirus with subsequent stool incontinence and for the second day I didn’t eat anything and took pills. This allowed me to drive 1000 km to my home in 12 hours. The sanatorium is not empty, everyone praises it and prefers to book this sanatorium. We will defeat the disease, the rest is trivial.

I would like to thank the website sanatoriums.com for the excellent price. When booking directly on the Richmond Hotel website, there were no rooms, the price was higher and I was refused. You can get to the hotel by bus 2, stop opposite. I really liked the location of the hotel, a quick walk to the mineral spring - "Vřídlo" - 15 minutes. There is forest all around, silence. The hotel is located on the banks of the Tepla River, surrounded by an English-style park. There is a place to park a car. Very friendly staff, speaks Russian. The rooms are large, clean, the linen is snow-white. From the windows of our room in the evenings, we watched the foxes walking around. The hotel has a mineral spring (if you don’t have time to get to “Vřídlo” in the morning, you can drink at the hotel), but we went into the city. All procedures are scheduled very competently, no more than 4 per day. Sunday and Saturday (we were not prescribed procedures) are days off, you can go on excursions. We rented a car at the hotel (they have agreements with several rental companies) and the price for the car was very good. The food is good, healthy and tasty. We took full board. Next time we'll probably take half board, since we skipped lunch and dinner. For lunch, chicken, duck, lamb, venison, turkey, etc. For breakfast, scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, porridge, yogurt, all kinds of cold cuts and delicious cheese, etc. No mayonnaise, ketchup. We are going there to improve our health... In general, we liked everything. Very nice pool and saunas. It is better to pay for a hotel in euros if you book through this site. When booking a hotel, money was not immediately withdrawn from the card. A few days before check-in, the amount was withdrawn, everything was as described on the website, and upon check-in we were already given a check for this amount. In general, I wish everyone a pleasant stay and recommend this hotel. Staying at the hotel left only pleasant impressions. The rooms are comfortable - large; instead of a double room with a balcony, they gave us a suite and apologized that it did not have a balcony. We certainly had no complaints. They were cleaned every day, linen was changed every three days. During treatments and in the pool they provide their own towels, so you don’t need to bring them from your room. Treatment - 3 procedures a day, not counting the pool - everything is strictly on time, you can even get tested. The staff is polite and attentive. The food is very varied, always several types of meat, fish and the most amazing thing is the variety of cheeses and as much as you want! Actually, it was like being in a fairy tale! There are a lot of people, the SPA complex cannot accommodate such a number, apparently it is necessary to set a certain time for visiting, in the end, of course, we got used to using these services, we guessed the time closer to lunch, but it was still a bit crowded. The aroma sauna was not working for several days. But everything else is simple - super - the pool is clean, the saunas and steam rooms are clean and comfortable, everything is new after renovation, just a pleasure!!!

This time we were in “Standard, Category A”, the windows faced the mountain, there was practically no view, it was dark, the interior was poorer, the hallway and closet were cramped, I didn’t like how the room was cleaned, one of the two maids (the older one) didn’t vacuumed at all or very poorly, did not wash the sink or bathtub at all. During the procedures, a careless attitude towards an 80-year-old woman (balneo 2), once they made her wait a long time for the procedure (carbon dioxide baths) without explaining the reason, they poured little water and the water was cool, even after asking; they did not offer to relax on the couch, as on the previous visit (in the balneo 0). I would like a more attentive attitude, as we are already accustomed to from you, so we came to you again, but were unexpectedly disappointed by the negative attitude.

Not the first time in Karlovy Vary, and we can note the convenient location of “Richmond”, just what we needed: the optimal distance for walking to the springs and back. We stayed in February, 10 days, of course this is not enough for treatment, but we still really liked it. We booked a standard double room, category 2, in the photo the room seemed smaller, in fact the room is small and cozy. Food: we were delighted, the table setting, dishes, developed menu, the waiters were always attentive, everyone spoke Russian, so there was no language barrier.
