My husband and I visited the Richmond sanatorium for the second time. Heartfelt thanks to all the staff of the sanatorium, the doctor, the treating staff, the maids, the reception staff, and the restaurant staff. EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT, it was a pity to leave. The hotel is excellent! Living among beautiful furnishings, antique furniture and paintings is not a miracle! We are connoisseurs of beauty! Regarding treatment; We liked the attending doctor, who prescribed everything correctly, and there were no problems changing procedures! The treatment is wonderful, the food is dietary, which is not found in every sanatorium in Karlovy Vary. The hotel has its own source of mineral water, which also made our treatment easier if we did not have time to get to the source. We cannot answer how much better this water is than the one found in the Colonnade, and the treating doctor did not answer us anything intelligible. There were no problems with wifi, it worked at a good speed, we could easily listen to our favorite music and watch movies via YouTube!Negatives
The rooms are poorly located, overlooking the courtyard, where food is delivered early and unloaded with the noise of the clock at 4 in the morning, and to top it off, a garbage collection truck arrives. People who sleep soundly should be placed in these rooms! And the cleaning was rather weak, for such a star hotel, the maids are not so zealous in cleaning. We walked barefoot on the carpet in the room, hoping that the cleaning was carried out thoroughly, we accidentally stepped on the glass in our room, to which the maid said that it was possible we brought it with shoes, but then we also found glass behind the door, and it never was vacuumed. We did not contact the administration downstairs. And the last thing is that the time allotted for lunch and dinner is too short.

Only positive impressions. The hotel has a large park area, the city is 7 minutes by bus. The room stock is excellent. Daily room cleaning, towels and bathrobes provided, promptly replaced with clean ones. Very responsive staff, everything is clear and organized. Excellent medical care.

I liked absolutely everything about the Richmond Hotel. After greeting us at the reception, we were told that the room they had prepared for us was better than what we had ordered. The room was really huge - a room of 40 m2. We really liked it right away. Treatment, food, staff work - everything is great. A couple of days later we appreciated the location of the hotel - it was always quiet. Indeed - everything for us, we relaxed while the staff worked. Since the renovation of the hotel was not completely completed, work is still underway and there is a smell of paint and various chemicals. In the first days, the heating did not work on the first and second floors, and partially on the 3rd floor. It was cold in the hotel, especially when taking treatments in the balneo and other rooms. The doors opened wide to the street. The rooms were cleaned disgustingly, with the exception of 2 days before departure - a very pleasant maid vacuumed, wiped off the dust, and cleaned the mirrors. Others even forgot to take out the trash from their rooms.

We came at a bad time: the hotel opened only after renovation. But the hotel staff did everything possible to ensure that our vacation and treatment were not overshadowed by anything. We have been vacationing in this hotel for several years now. Every year the hotel upgrades our room comfort class as a compliment for its consistency. It is very nice. During my vacation it was my birthday, the hotel congratulated me with a bouquet of flowers and a card. Again very nice. I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff and management of the hotel for our quality stay!
