My wife and I come at the same time for the second year in a row! The good news is that we meet vacationers at the sanatorium whom we met last year. We chose this resort based on its location. Park area, forest across the road and behind the sanatorium. This year we made a discovery for ourselves. The forest across the road is all cut up with paths! Some are paved (possibly too much). Walking along the paths is a special pleasure. The routes vary in complexity and length. Walking in the forest lifts your mood and lowers your blood pressure! The building of the sanatorium can be said to be luxurious. The architecture of the 18th and 19th centuries particularly appeals to me. This year we were placed in the same room as last year. If this is the policy of the sanatorium, then special respect! We like the room! We arrived at the sanatorium after 14-00, lunch ended at 13-30, but nevertheless they fed us lunch. Special thanks to the restaurant staff! The dishes in the restaurant have become more dietary, everything is boiled and baked, which on the one hand pleases, and on the other saddens. Sometimes you want to eat something HARMFUL! Wonderful pancakes with sour cream, duck - super (this year they served it only once. It’s a shame). The treatment is good! All the staff are very friendly. The procedures prescribed by doctor Kveta Pdlipna are pleasant and useful! The time spent in the sanatorium brought many pleasant impressions! I would especially like to note the presence of a swimming pool and sauna. Swimming after dinner and taking a steam bath is a special thrill (I’m not afraid of this word). I would like to mention masseuses Christina and Betka, thank you! Different massage techniques give an amazing effect and improve your mood. Room cleaning is always high quality and fast. The maids are attentive to their duties. Overall, the resort creates an excellent relaxing atmosphere! I almost forgot. The Tepla River flows through the territory of the sanatorium. There are a lot of fish in the river, I want to go fishing, but I probably can’t, so I limit myself to only feeding the fish. It's fun to watch how the fish jump out of ambush, grabbing a piece of bread that fell into the water! In general, my wife and I enjoy our stay at the sanatorium. A lot of positive things! The weather in Karlovy Vary in the fall can be rainy, and when going for a walk you want to take an umbrella with you. but, oops, there’s no umbrella! last year umbrellas were on sale, but this year they are not. It would be great to have at least one copy of this wonderful accessory in each room. We arrive at the end of August beginning of September. It's already cool at this time of year. Coolness in the room itself is great, but in the bathroom you want warmth. I have to contact the reception a couple of times. After which the brave plumbers come and voila, it becomes comfortable to visit the bathroom! Thanks for taking care of me! This is not negative but information for guests. Don’t be shy, contact the staff and they will do everything for you!

The location of the sanatorium is in a park area, there is a lot of territory for walking. The organization of procedures was at a high level; during the entire stay there were no cases of schedule violations. An excellent water complex with a swimming pool, a jacuzzi and several baths (sauna, steam room, salt and herbal). The restaurant is well run, polite staff, a huge selection of dishes, many types of cheeses and fruits. Cozy and quiet room (we had a suite with a balcony overlooking the forest).Negatives
There are few cons, but it's worth writing about. Slippers are not provided in the rooms, I had to buy them for 70 CZK at the reception (a shame for the hotel ****). During our stay (from August 18, 2018 to September 7, 2018), the spa complex did not have a swimming pool with thermal water, although it was stated in the description of the sanatorium. There is no pedestrian crossing near the exit from the sanatorium to the park area; we had to constantly break the rules when crossing the road. The distance to the public source is at least 1.5 km, 3 glads a day were away, I had to drink water from the pump room in the sanatorium 1-2 glads.

Richmond is getting worse every year. The medical base is very weak, the staff during the procedures are indifferent, everything is done for profanation. We arrived at the sanatorium on Sunday. We only saw the doctor on Tuesday, so the main treatment began only on Wednesday. As a result, we often had 4 procedures a day. It would probably be a good idea to move up lunch time by an hour or extend it by at least 30 minutes. Almost every day the procedures fell in the middle of lunch.

Dear, transfer@sanatoriums.com, departure from the sanatorium/spa hotel using transfer booking number 391572318, scheduled for 09.09.2018, occurred at the specified time, but the driver took us to a completely different place. I didn’t notice right away because I was distracted by small matters. Then I began to watch the road (because by time we should have arrived), when we passed the cities of Loket, Sokolov, Brezova and saw that we were moving in the direction of the city of Cheb, I realized in horror that an error has occurred. and began to ask the driver if we were going to the airport, he answered - YES. But after that he made a U-turn and moved in the opposite direction, I again began to clarify where he was going: to the Karlovy Vary airport? He answered - YES. In the end, we got to the place safely, but with a loss of time, and the driver apologized, but there are questions: Why did this happen, because the transfer was not a cheap one, but an individual one, I didn’t have to worry about the road at all. What place would they take me to? (!!!) Why did the driver poorly understand Russian and English? This is a wonderful hotel, a building with history. The hotel's past is told by photographs, successfully placed in the corridors and carefully preserved or antique-style halls. The wonderful "old count's park" surrounding the hotel beckons with its paths leading to secluded green corners with benches or on a hill with panoramic views. I was pleasantly pleased with the room provided: quiet and spacious at the same time, with good quality dark wood furniture. A true classic. Excellent, modern SPA: swimming pool and jacuzzi with a comfortable temperature and pleasant lighting, a modern sauna complex. All this wealth is open until 21-30 hours, and after an active tourist day, it was so nice to plunge into clean warm water. And then go to your room and sleep like a baby. mmmmmmmm! If only I could sleep like this at home!... I also liked the hotel cuisine: everything is dietary, not fried, but not boring - hospital stuff, but healthy, easily digestible by the body, Soups for both lunch and dinner. There were always 2 options of steamed vegetables, chopped fresh herbs, small homemade cakes... I don’t even mention fish, chicken, beef, etc., it goes without saying. I took full board, but despite this, I managed not to gain weight at all. (of course, I tried to walk a lot, especially since the hotel’s location contributed to this). If you want to go to the city center - a 15-minute walk or a 4-minute bus ride - and you are at the 1st source... The hotel staff also played a significant role in the favorable impression of the hotel. The reception, the medical department, the maids - everyone is friendly, smiling, and delicate. Not once during my stay did I regret choosing this hotel, but only rejoiced at being in Richmond, despite the changeable September weather.Negatives

Today it looks like petty money-grubbing when you have to order a cup of coffee at a bar and pay extra. Also, coffee and tea from single-serve bags should be available all 3 times a day when food is offered. Poor dessert.

Disgusting attitude of the staff. They raise their voices at vacationers; not a single request received a positive response. Food and diet are meager. They feed the same thing every day. In the morning at 5.30 every day, food suppliers arrive and, when unloading, they knock impossible with boxes and other things. Renovations are underway on the 2nd floor, sounds of drilling and noise of workers. The procedures are prescribed on an unclear basis. There are 3 procedures per day, although the sanatorium has much more possibilities. The hotel staff is arbitrary, they make decisions as they want. Disgusting!!! The rating is not even 0, but -1.

Very negative reception staff, they can’t talk to people, no one solves the problems that arise when you are in the sanatorium, renovations are going on all the time and they don’t give a damn about people’s vacation! If this continues, then the rating that travel agents are talking about, you will lose clients! Richmond management wishes you to be inside the problem of the sanatorium!! I will never come to this sanatorium and I advise whoever chooses to study it down to the last detail!

Special thanks to the chef and the entire team of cooks for their work! Always delicious! The food is varied! Over the course of two weeks, they always managed to surprise and delight us! The spa area and pool also deserve respect! We were lucky with our room: the windows looked directly onto the forest! Fresh cool air ensured our comfortable and sweet sleep! We came at a bad moment. The heat is over 30, there is no air conditioning (they provided a fan). Construction has been roaring near the hotel since early morning, so you can’t sleep in the evening because of the heat, and during the day, between procedures, because of the roar of the hammer drills. Next time we will go in the spring or autumn, when it is cooler. And a little funny, but an unpleasant remark for a hotel of this level - in the restaurant only the first visitors received trout, for the rest they fried cod or something else. It’s a small thing, but a residue remains. The choice of fruits is poor - only “wooden” apples were always lying around, watermelon was eaten faster than trout

I only have pleasant memories from my stay at the sanatorium. Located on the river bank, in a beautiful park. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get to the springs at a slow pace. There were no problems during check-in, everything was fast and organized. The doctor is attentive and qualified. If you want to receive specific procedures, you need to immediately tell your doctor about it, so as not to change those that are not suitable for you. The treatment is at a very good level. The SPA center is magnificent - swimming pool, saunas, jacuzzi, even a small pool with mineral water... The food is beyond praise. Huge selection of dishes. I didn't even get to try everything I wanted. The sanatorium has a guarded parking lot. We forgot to close the window in the car and the security guard immediately informed us about it. All services of the sanatorium work very smoothly and quickly. Thanks a lot, everyone. We would love to come again.
