Mom’s birthday was on the day of departure, so we had lunch before leaving for the airport. We were in Karlovy Vary and, accordingly, in Richmond for the first time, so there is nothing to compare with. But for the first visit, I really liked everything. Immediately upon arrival, a representative of Sanatoriums contacted us, from whom, as it turned out, it was also possible to book various excursions, and not just free ones to Prague. In our opinion, a lot depends on the people themselves; for some, the view from the window is only a garage, but for us, the park that is located behind this garage is only worth raising our eyes a little higher; For some, the food is monotonous, but we were always able to choose something (for lunch and dinner there was always a choice of different types - fish, chicken, pork, beef, and sometimes rabbit, venison, it was somehow that in the first week there was a little tired of rice, pasta and potatoes and really wanted buckwheat, so it immediately appeared on the menu). The main feature of the hotel is the park, the opportunity to walk and enjoy nature. The more simply you treat the situation and do not elevate yourself to a royal position, the better the surrounding reality will seem.Negatives

It was our first time at the sanatorium and we really liked it. The sanatorium is located some distance from other hotels, which in our opinion was a plus, since we walked a lot because of this. But for those who have problems with movement, it will also be comfortable there, since the sanatorium has everything you need - even mineral water is delivered directly to the sanatorium. We liked the food, a large selection of main courses, in my opinion - for every taste. A wide variety of salads, vegetables, cheeses, cottage cheese products and 2-3 types of pastries. The staff is very friendly and tries to satisfy your wishes. The treatment is good, the procedures are properly planned taking into account the necessary break between procedures. The resort has a wonderful swimming pool, jacuzzi and several saunas. We are planning to come again next year.Negatives

Sanatorium "Richmond" captivated by the surrounding nature, excellent cuisine, wonderful swimming pool and the entire spa complex. Unfortunately, the thermal pool was not open during our stay, but all the saunas were in operation and we really liked them. It didn’t bother us to spend 40-50 minutes walking to the springs three times a day. But people with mobility problems (and there were many of them in the sanatorium) have to limit themselves to the park around and water from the geyser, which is supplied to the hotel. In principle, “Richmond” has everything for a good rest and treatment; it is self-sufficient.

There were no such cons. Except for one conflict in a restaurant. But everything was decided on the spot with the restaurant manager. For this reason, I recommend to everyone that if there is any misunderstanding, they should immediately decide on the spot so as not to spoil their vacation.

We love this resort. We took a room with a balcony, a wonderful view of the forest. Very quiet. The room is large and very comfortable. Cleaning every day. Responsive staff. For those who like hiking - the springs are 1.5 km away - this was a plus for us. Nice SPA. Price - quality matches.Negatives

The treatment is also good, but there is a “but”. A good massage was very important for my wife because there are problems, instead of 20 minutes the masseuse always did 10-12 minutes, mostly just stroking. As I already said, my child and I arrived and for one procedure the wife was 3 minutes late and she was late refused to give a massage, although the “massage” herself changed the schedule to an inconvenient time for us. We were at the hotel in September. This is the third time. We always arrive at the same time. We meet many regular guests. We met, we communicate. As always, we checked in quickly and were offered a room a class higher. Special THANK YOU for this! The room overlooks the garden, very comfortable and quiet. Cleaning every day, no complaints. Replacement of bathrobes and towels, no problem, upon request, at any time. Requests are responded to adequately. In the next room the door to the balcony creaked, the neighbor went out to smoke at night. I told the reception in the morning, and at lunchtime the technicians came and fixed everything. The food is dietary, everything is boiled, baked, steamed. Nothing spicy or fried. Just what the doctor ordered! There are treats in the form of donuts in the morning and if there is any leftover in the evening. Ice cream, a lot of cheeses, fruits, cereals, all kinds of muesli, meat, fish, poultry. You don’t get tired of it in two weeks, you can diversify. I don’t go to the bar, but there’s all sorts of alcohol there, maybe coffee. But for a fee (never in Turkey), the procedures help you relax and have a good rest. Walks in the park are a different story! I don’t understand people who stay in hotels in the city! It’s stuffy, walking around and staring at store windows; there’s enough of this goodness at home. Forest, fresh, clean air, peace and quiet, that’s what my wife and I go to the resort for. Own pool, small but enough. It’s better to come in the morning, there is no one, you swim with one or a couple more people. There are more people in the saunas only after lunch or after dinner. But not critical. There is no crowd. The hotel lives its measured, calm life. We like. We come for peace, relaxation and positivity. We are planning to come again next year!Negatives
There are a couple of points that puzzled me a little. There is a procedure called “Pilotherm” where you put hot mud under your back and wrap it in a blanket and diapers. you sweat like in a bathhouse. You get up from the couch hot, steamy, all warmed up, and your head is cold. There are 4-5 such procedures. So this is the first procedure, everything is great! And then each subsequent procedure gets colder and colder. I don’t know why, I tried to figure it out, they said that the device that heats the dirt was broken. And only one works. I have an assumption that before my arrival they are carrying out sabotage and breaking the device. And so on for three years in a row. Well, the burning question is NO UMBRELLA. They are placed at the entrance to the hotel. Accordingly, the guests are taken to their rooms, forgotten in the city, in the forest, and then they probably have to buy more. This year I managed to take one to my room. Useful. It rained two or three evenings in a row. If they put them in every room, then umbrellas would be safe and everyone could use them. Lost - pay. On Tuesdays and Fridays, live music is great, but two more times a week in the wonderful concert hall you can conduct so-called dance therapy (dance therapy). There is a hall, music from the speaker and one dance teacher - everything is simple. The teacher shows several movements - waltz, rumba or foxtrot - those who wish learn and dance, fortunately many come in pairs.
