My husband and I underwent treatment at the Richmond sanatorium from 01/31/16 to 02/20/16 It was our first time at the sanatorium. We really liked the sanatorium, despite the fact that during our stay there were minor renovations going on and the swimming pool with steam rooms was closed for a week. The food is beyond praise! Variety, steamed. There is a diet that is prescribed by a doctor. Walks in the fresh air to the springs and various excursions made our relaxation and treatment more varied. The hotel has a representative from the travel agency who helps organize your leisure time. The treatment began to help us literally from the first days. My husband’s intestines normalized from the Carlsbad water, and my knee pain began to decrease due to prescribed procedures using carbon dioxide. In general, apart from minor roughness, we were very pleased with the rest and treatment. As we learned from other vacationers, our sanatorium is one of the five best in KV. The treatment is good, the rooms are excellent, the staff is mostly friendly and responsive, the doctor Karaskova is very well qualified, the massage therapists are different, you can change and find the right one. Wonderful pool and saunas. Not a bad playroom for kids. For vacationers for the first time, I would recommend that before your appointment with the Doctor, you familiarize yourself with the procedures offered at the hotel in more detail; when you go to the doctor, offer yourself the procedures that you would like to undergo. You can get a price list for procedures at any time on the ground floor to the left of the Reception Desk in the nurse’s office. Unfortunately, I went to the doctor unprepared and she chose the procedures for me at her discretion, which were suitable for me, later when I asked for the price list, I realized that the procedures prescribed to me, according to the price list, were the lowest. But they were also quite good.

It was our first time in Karlovy Vary. We haven't used the site before either. The city is wonderful. The Richmond sanatorium is located in a picturesque location (for those who love fresh air and walking). The variety and quality of food was a pleasant surprise. Polite staff, cleaning every day. Attentive doctor (chief physician). If desired, you can change previously prescribed procedures in consultation with your doctor. Wonderful (although not large) swimming pool with 5 saunas. The site fulfilled its task efficiently. I recommend the site and the sanatorium.

My wife and I rested at the Richmond sanatorium in January. We really liked everything. The location is unique; some may find it a bit far from the sources, but this is an excellent opportunity for regular walks. Very good treatment and food. Some did not like the lack of drinks at lunch and dinner, but we were satisfied with the assortment of jelly and compotes. The rooms are cozy, cleaned daily. The sanatorium is at a decent European level. We'd love to come back again.

My wife and I stayed at the Richmond Hotel for 15 days from late January to early February. We are very pleased with our stay and treatment at this hotel. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Karlovy Vary - in a quiet place in the forest above the river. The city center, where the springs are located, is a 25-minute walk. But you can take the bus - tickets are not expensive, and you can buy discounted tickets at the hotel. Very good service. Nice room that was cleaned daily. Bed linen, towels, and bathrobes were changed every 2-3 days or upon request. The medical staff was very attentive and helpful. The food in the restaurant was of good quality and varied. For breakfast: kefir, cottage cheese, a variety of cheeses, eggs, sausages, fruits, coffee, tea. The dinner is very rich and varied: always 3 types of meat, chicken or turkey, beef, pork, lamb and fish. Several times they gave us rabbit and venison. And definitely fruits and pastries. My only wish is that there would be baked goods for diabetics containing saccharin, fructose or sucralose.

Everything was great. We arrived with the child, everything, including the crib, was ready. The sanatorium is wonderful, excellent location, magnificent views and interiors. The sanatorium has excellent infrastructure, a very good swimming pool with a complex of saunas, steam rooms and other pleasures. Only if you find fault. One of the shifts at the restaurant is not very efficient. Either they don’t bring empty trays of food for a long time, or they don’t re-set the tables. But it's really not critical. It’s just an absolutely stupid idea to have tea (in bags), coffee and juices (similar to powdered ones) for lunch and dinner for a fee. somehow it doesn’t fit with the image and level of Richmond. Make tea and coffee for free, you just need to leave the machine on at breakfast.

During this visit, many people fell ill with colds with flu-like symptoms. Maybe it was still worth taking quarantine measures? At breakfast, juices, probably from packages, are not tasty at all. Maintenance personnel and cleaning staff, often not very clean, use the same elevators for transportation as vacationers. It is advisable to allocate a separate elevator for them, at least one that goes to the 3rd floor.

During my stay at the hotel there was a massive epidemic of enterovirus infection. Vacationers and staff were sick. But the management did nothing to strengthen preventive measures, provide sick people with masks, etc. For a hotel of such a level as Richmond, methods such as ozonation of places where people stay together, increased attention to disinfection and cleaning of premises could well be used. Thus, paid procedures were missed, treatment and water drinking regimens were disrupted. Уборка в комнатах заболевших туристов горничные проводят в маске и перчатках. Всем туристам и персоналу бесплатно предоставляются маски. Уборка публичных мест происходит с помощью дезинфекции. A beautiful restaurant with good service and delicious food, there is a diet menu. Check the massage time, place 20 minutes make 15. Not all, it was a massage therapist on the 0th floor in 1st room. I then complained to my doctor and they gave me Yana, who works in the pool, a wonderful massage therapist, everyone would work like that. Despite the good attitude and daily cleaning, it is necessary to note the superficiality of this cleaning - garbage was constantly present in the corners and on the carpet. You have to wait a long time for elevators when moving around for procedures. In the SPA center there is no information about the baths, tepidarium, etc. what kind of facility it is and how long to stay in it, for what diseases it is recommended. Also, there are no clocks everywhere (except for the duty station) and thermometers - they should be in each of these objects. It’s a long walk to get the necessary water, since everyone has their own source, and sometimes it’s too far away; there used to be a free bus to the source and back (now it’s not there).

The food seems to be good, but after 15 days I got tired of it. The entire menu is the same. The gas bags used are made of polythene. And in this regard, in 20 minutes of the procedure, half of the gas simply evaporates. Although the site picture is different. The bag is worn only to the waist. I tried to find out why, but no one gave a clear explanation. In Marianske Lazne this procedure is carried out completely differently. The bags are tight and there are no high gas leaks. When taking a mineral bath in Marianske Lazne, you will be looked after, wrapped in a blanket, helped to sit on a special lounger, and you will rest for 30 minutes. Here they will pour water and then do whatever you want, you can of course lie on the sunbed, but it’s cold without a blanket with one sheet. There is no sensitive attention from the staff.
