We visited many hotels and motels in Karlovy Vary, but Richmond exceeded our expectations in terms of price/quality of service and accommodation. Attentive and responsive staff, any wishes are resolved promptly. Special thanks to the cooks and waiters. A large and well-groomed area with good weather left an unforgettable impression of staying at the Richmond sanatorium.

The location of the hotel allows for a lot of walking, which in my opinion is good and useful. Also, a plus is that the source is supplied to the hotel. There are places to walk, a nice forested area. Friendly staff, good and varied cuisine. The doctor is attentive, nothing unnecessary is prescribed, everything is to the point. The treatment is high quality. Overall, the impression is very good, I want to come again.Negatives
Of the minuses, I would like to note the behavior of the employee who made the pearl bath. It was my fault I was late, I looked at the time incorrectly. They just turned me out the door without offering another time. The desire to write a conclusion in the language of the person being treated, in my case in Russian, so as not to have to run around translating later.

We stayed at the Richmond Hotel from 04/08/2018 to 04/22/2018. Very good location of the hotel, wonderful walks to the springs and around the surrounding area. High-level medical facilities, convenient schedule of procedures. Very nice pool and saunas. Friendly staff, high level service.Negatives

We arrived on Sunday. The doctor only saw me on Tuesday morning. The appointments were not all successful - at home we regularly visit the pool and sauna, so water and thermal procedures did not seem very necessary to us. (However, they were later partially replaced without problems). The first night was difficult - a very cold room (after the renovation, we were probably the first in it). It is not possible to find extra blankets at the hotel at night. But then everything got better.

A fly in the ointment was waiting for me when leaving the hotel. As usual, I went to the reception to give the key and say goodbye until my next visit. I was presented with TWO invoices. One is for using the minibar, the other is from the bar, which is located on the 0th floor near the restaurant. I didn't use either one or the other. The woman at the reception argued that there could be no mistakes, and these were my bills. I didn’t even open the minibar while I lived there, and I don’t know what I have to pay for. Regarding the bill from the bar on the 0th floor. Vacationers order drinks from this bar during lunch and dinner. And, if they do not pay in cash right away, then the bill is punched out with a check for the room number. Apparently, any room number is called, and the waiters take your word for it without checking this information. This is what happened with my number. As a result, someone blatantly took advantage of this and the bill was issued to my room. This is such a very unpleasant story. And I don’t know how to protect myself for the future. As a result of arguing within 20 minutes, I paid these bills. Of course, they did not believe my words that I did not use these services. Having decided that reputation is more valuable and it’s not about 260 crowns, I gave the money and left. The mood was ruined the entire way back home. But, if you cross that out, I think that Richmond is the best hotel in Karlovy Vary. I recommend it to everyone!

There were few vegetarian dishes, especially hot ones. There was no change of gowns. In other sanatoriums, before the first procedure, the medical staff explains the meaning of the procedure and how to behave during the procedure

Economy rooms face mainly east. Early in the morning the sun is still behind the mountains, and then goes south... Therefore, the sun appeared on my balcony only for a couple of hours. I missed it, I love to soak up the sun, the fresh air...

Inconvenient lunch time (from 12 to 13.30) Breakfast at the level of a 3* hotel: eggs, scrambled eggs, three types of sausages, vegetables, cold cuts. For people who are on an anti-cholesterol diet, there is nothing to eat except oatmeal with water... You can still be patient for a week of stay, but when you come for three weeks... Why not add boiled meat or fish instead of one type of sausage for people who dieting? Or some kind of casserole?

There was a half-drunk bottle of beer in the bar in the room (although we reported this to the reception and we were not charged for it). We took packed rations because... We went on an excursion for the whole day. They didn’t look at it right away, but one was opened and half of the products were not reported.
