This was not our first time in Karlovy Vary; in choosing a sanatorium we were guided by the fact that we were just going to relax. We are grateful to everyone who ensured our quiet, very pleasant and dignified stay at the Richmond Sanatorium. Everything is great: excellent location (the forested area is perfect for long walks at any time of the year, distance from drinking springs is not a problem, since they are conveniently accessible by bus - two stops 24 CZK and you are in the city center) comfort of the rooms, constant friendliness and the efficiency of the staff, willingness to help, show, suggest, a nice swimming pool with a cascade, and even live music in the cafe on Fridays. The food was somewhat disappointing. Breakfast - four types of sausages, four egg dishes and three cereals. Ultimately, you can adapt, but herring and onions on the salad stand and canned fish pate do not fit into the sanatorium menu. The fruit set could also be richer even though it is winter. No nuts or seeds at all. The dinner is good, for all tastes - meat, fish, poultry, the right side dishes. Always a large selection of good cheeses. I was especially pleased with the minimum of desserts (no joke: it’s very good not to overload yourself with sweets at night, and if you want, you can go to the cafe - there is an abundance of goodies and sweets!) We expected the temperature to be above zero, but, alas, it was almost always below zero. In this weather, it is difficult to go to water from the Richmond Hotel, especially after a snowfall. The source in the hotel itself did not work for almost the entire period of our stay. The mineral pool, which we so wanted to swim in before bed, did not work (and we chose Richmond because of it, too). Despite the resort tax levied in Karlovy Vary, the paths, sidewalks, and bridges are poorly cleaned, slippery, and have deposits of snow that have never been cleared. We bought a ticket at a discount, but if we had known that the room opposite and the hotel as a whole would be undergoing renovations, we would have taken another hotel. It’s not good not to warn about this. The renovation was quite extensive, there was constant dust, it made my throat sore. The repair team workers were constantly moving back and forth with construction materials, which created discomfort and dirt. The hotel is located in a forested area, about twenty minutes away from the springs at a leisurely pace, which has a very positive effect on the respiratory system and mood in general. We were at the Richmond sanatorium for the third time - this in itself indicates a high appreciation of the level of comfort and high quality of work of the staff. The specialists do an excellent job during the procedures - clearly, accurately, always friendly, smiling, positive. Excellent food: varied, there are no queues in the restaurant, there is always enough food for everyone, the chefs at the serving point choose a better and bigger piece for everyone. Eat with pleasure and leave in a good mood. The minus concerns the incorrect information on your website regarding the operation of the spa. You indicated opening on January 21st and I specifically booked for the following days, but we could have gone later. Because of this incorrect information, we did not fully use the services we paid for for a week (until Friday). You could have informed me in advance and I would have rebooked the check-in. Considering that we were in the sanatorium for only 9 days, this is a significant minus for us, but this does not apply to the sanatorium itself. I would like to get a comment from the sanatoriums, because... My family and I have traveled through the Sanatorium company for the 3rd time and we really like the service. We booked the sanatorium for 12/03/2019. , but they were able to take off only on 04.12. the manager resolved this issue with the sanatorium. We ordered a transfer. We were greeted by an intelligent, elegant, attentive driver named Frantisik. An excellent conversationalist and with excellent musical taste. We enjoyed the road and didn’t even notice the route from Prague to Karlovy Vary and back. Thanks a lot. We also liked the excursion booking service. We wrote a message to Irena about our wishes, Irena sent us a schedule and price list for excursions, we chose. When Frantisek met us at the airport, he gave us vouchers for excursions. About "Richmond" we really love this sanatorium, the staff is friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and varied. So, forced walks to the colonnade and through Richmond Park saved us from gaining weight.Positives

I really didn't like the massage therapists. It was not a classic therapeutic massage - just stroking.... I changed three massage therapists and to no avail... In addition, they still did not adhere to the 20 minutes allotted for the massage. Maximum, 15 minutes. There is no option to choose only diet food. Many foods contain vinegar. Last time I was in for repairs. There was a smell of acetone everywhere. My wife has allergies. We went to other hotels for a couple of years. And here we are again. And again without warning, repairs. Saunas are closed. The sound of jackhammers. They change the locks. Etc. The hotel does not have a water cooler, only in the sauna. There is no kettle in the room, and in the evening you want to drink tea or just hot water. Terrible tea for lunch and dinner. I can’t understand why in a sanatorium you have to pay to measure your blood pressure. Why then do you need an evening and night nurse? Before you start filling out procedures, look at what excursions you would like to attend, since once you have assigned procedures, you can only change them for a fee.
